The movie's title is taken from the orchestral piece composed by Richard Rodgers, which was originally used for the ballet in the 1936 Broadway musical "On Your Toes". An arrangement of it is played over the title card and credits, and during the end credits, with musical riffs of it the basis for most of the film score.
Len Lesser appears in an uncredited role as Sam. He is arguably best known as "Uncle Leo" from Seinfeld (1989).
Walter Matthau's character, Al Dahlke is seen in the courtroom holding and looking at a newspaper which is not permitted in courtrooms.
On the witness stand, Benjy Karp responds to the defense's questions by saying "Yeah". In a courtroom setting, yes or no is the appropriate response to counsel questions.
