Great footage and commentary by Tony Robinson, wonderful images bring home the actual horror of war. The comments by the people who were there and the input by the academics (with the exception of the truly awful Nusbacher) is very informative.

Good series showing the history of world war 2. it may be too simple and basic for a history buff, but for someone looking for an introduction it is good.
Very well put together love the old footage and quotes from people that were actually there and rounded of by great commentary from Tony Robinson
Nusbacher
For Lords sake will you take extended leave and not contribute to such an excellent program.
I am not the only one finding your background repulsive and your pro-porting to be a valuable contributor to such a valuable historical program frankly deters me (And others) from watching the program. Please bow out.
What does make it difficult to hear your historical contribution is that my Father flew in the RAF and your comments are found quite inaccurate and vulgar. If you look back and read previous comments it will be noted that you are not popular and share the same comments as mine. Please cease your involvement in this magnificent program.

Mr. Nusbacher is mentally ill and should not be trying to educate us on WWII with such obvious comments that are almost comical if they weren't so annoying. Really, find someone else that has a brain.
How in the world do you think his little interludes enhance an otherwise decent WWII series? However there were a number of film clips that would fool only those that knew little of this war i.e. Wrong aircraft, wrong tanks, wrong terrane etc. I would have to go back and re-watch in order to cover it all. I'd be willing to edit future WWII documentaries if you so desired. Expenses is all I'd ask for now.

The original footage and facts are great spoiled only by Tony Robinson's documentary in which he shouts a lot betraying the fact that he is not a natural commentator and mistakes loudness for clarity. Also although the audio interviews with the people who were involved in the war have been enhanced, often they are difficult to hear and understand. Overall, informative but served better by a natural commentator.
