Ah yes, a werewolf movie....if by "werewolf" one means a woman in yellow contact lenses and pointy teeth. Do not be misled: there are no actual werewolves in this movie. There is very little horror here as well. What we are treated to is a mopey girl who whines and complains throughout most of the film, saving the last 20 minutes for when she finally goes nuts, but even then, it's a huge disappointment because what you're expecting to finally happen..never does. The score was good though!

I have seen some bad horror movies,(and ever worse werewolf themed movies), but this one is on a whole other level of terrible. It's like you take the worst parts of every werewolf movie you've ever seen (bad acting, terrible script, insufferable cast, amateurish special effects and some of the worst cinematography I've seen in any movie all year) and even that movie would be better than this one. Seriously, why go through all this trouble of getting funding, writing a script, finding a cast, and filming a movie if it is just going to be this dreadful? Did the creative team not screen this to anyone, and were the BOO's I'm sure they heard from the audience not enough to tell you that this movie was just plain bad? I just don't understand how a movie like this happens.
It's like everyone involved in this did not understand what it takes to make a watchable film. It really blows my mind that with all of the resources at someone's disposal, all of the best works to draw on and finding inspiration from past successful werewolf films, you still make THIS! It's enough to make this jaded horror fan weep in exhaustion.
Save your time, people. It's not worth it. Waste your time watching something dry. Like your tears.

That should tell you how I rate bad low budget movies. This movie isn't even on the same acting, effects, plot or movie making ability of Debbie Does Dallas. Terrible just terrible.
I've nothing against low budget films if they have something new or creative to offer but this was just tripe. Terrible acting. Not one character felt real or had any substance. This was badly done and should be avoided at all costs.
What do you call a movie that wants to be so bad it's good and fails to make the mark?
This was pretty rough. Let's go over the bad.
Bad acting. Bad choreography. Bad story. Bad script. Bad makeup and special effects. Bad audio. Bad filming. Bad costuming.
Let's go over the good.
Cool poster artwork.
Let's see..., did I miss anything?
Nope that 'bout sums it up.

Wow from the rating i though this revenge flick would be good but the werewolf bad makeup and low budget sort of killed the movie.
If you saw I spit on your grave, then you will feel deja vu watching this...
Its not bad...just on the b-rated side..
the acting is good for a b-rated movie.

I rarely write reviews on here. But starting now, I'm going to make it my mission to leave a negataive review if two criteria are met: 1: I watched the film and it was horrible, and 2: If I see that there are obvious fake reviews posted by anyone involved in making the film or by paid shills. Those two who gave a 10-star review, I'm looking at you! This film had zero budget, zero acceptable actors, and zero entertainment value. When are people going to learn that posting fake reviews (although par for the course these days) causes more harm than good.
Forget bad reviews and give it a try I enjoyed it and main character very good and well acted, bit different from most werewolf films and never heard of any of actors but enjoyed it. I find I spend lot of time just looking at trailers but not watching full films because lots of film channels and films to watch so hard choice and and lot of rubbish films out there but this held my attention and young lady star very easy on the eye. I live in UK and have never been to America but do love films set on these towns and love a good horror story ,didn't find this scary but very watchable and entertaining.

Nice camera shots not gonna lie, nice plot, kinda, but overall the movie was ridiculous due to the fact that it's simply the most boring garbage I've seen In a while. This basically made me think that this was directed by high school students 1/10

I think this revenge / werewolf story was not half bad for a low budget Indi film. Seen way too many movies with acting far worse, so this doesn't deserve all the 1's and 2's, nor does it rate any hire that a 6, even for a low budget Indi. Don't expect American Werewolf in London or even Ginger Snaps and you'll enjoy this one more.

Very weak story, very unimaginative characters and action.
For a victim revenge movie - it's boring as F(^k.
No tension, weak dialogue, no interesting reason to maintain the viewer.
Not enough violence, not enough build-up.
The one and very impressive thing this has going for it, is the aerial photography. Whomever did that knows their stuff.
Good drone video photography. Excellent drone photography.
The rest is lame on many levels.
I was really looking forward to a vicious attack from everybody and some nice battles but it was so depressing - just like 2020, so it was a let down to accompany the year and all it brought us.

This is my first IMBD review ever. I felt compelled to write this after watching this movie. I usually check the reviews on here before I rent a movie and there were actually some good reviews for this movie so I took a chance. Bad decision on my part, for this was a very weak movie. I kept waiting for some satisfying revenge and it never came, just weak kills. Unless you're desperate and have nothing else to watch steer clear from this weak attempt at a werewolf/revenge movie.

For good or for ill, there are far worse titles you could watch.
Moments of violence tend to play out unconvincingly with a restraint suggesting lack of safety measures on the set and/or lack of will by the performers to risk real harm. Resulting blood and wounds more often than not seem critically underrepresented, and perfunctory. Characters are thin and dialogue is tawdrily direct, with only an occasional suggestion peeking through of greater care in the writing. Scenes in general are likewise too often penned with an indelicately forthright approach, and no few story beats plainly mirror earlier werewolf (or otherwise genre) stories with the tropes at hand.
The assembled cast sometimes seem to give reasonably capable performances exceeding the strength of the material - star Kristen Vaganos in particular - but it's at best difficult to discern considering the modest quality of the movie otherwise. At some point I quite enjoy Natalia Perez's score; at others, it's simply middling. I appreciate the subtle simplicity of the changes the camera shows in protagonist Lisa's features - eyes, hands, teeth. Given what we broadly get out of the movie, I suppose we should be glad there was little effort to employ more dramatic special effects.
There are two definitely solid elements in the picture; take these as you will. One is the portrayal of a small town practically held captive by a few cruel, corrupt individuals - and more specifically, the cruel, corrupt law enforcement they embody. The second is a scene set at a local metal show, in a bar of this small town - so poorly attended that it's awkward to behold. Having been to a few such shows myself, this is cheekily true to life.
In almost every way, 'I am Lisa' is characterized by aspects that infrequently show skill and worth while too much of the runtime is regrettably flimsy and weak. And so it is with the movie as a whole. It's not outright bad, but the entertainment here is cursory, offering crude satisfaction. I admire the effort to create a werewolf flick with limited screenwriting experience and seemingly few resources, and overall I like the feature more than I don't, despite its clear faults. That certainly doesn't mean it's not a rough ride, and I probably couldn't argue with any review offering a still more harsh perspective.
It had great potential, and there are some good ideas here. Still, how much one will enjoy it depends on the individual's will and patience to overlook and persevere through unfortunate flaws that are all too predominant. If that means you, then 'I am Lisa' is a passingly worthwhile watch if you come across it - just don't go out of your way, and keep your expectations in check.

A well shot B movie full of great laughs!
Mike Nelson of MST3K and Rifftrax needs to see this and get on it!
Murder cops, meets werewolf, too stupid to explain but fun to watch.

I enjoy watching all types of horror movies.
This seemed more revenge tho than horror but I did enjoy it. I've seen some really terrible b-rated movies like Darkspace & Thankskilling - both awful. This I enjoyed. Pretty good acting for a b movie.
I do wish there had been more werewolves cause I love a good werewolf flick. The makeup was fairly good considering, I have seen much much worse, and the effects were not bad considering the budget. Wish tho there had been more to it than it was. Hopefully they make a sequel, with a more planned out story.. More werewolves tho, and more lesbian content.

Well, first of all I must say that for a werewolf movie then "I Am Lisa" was a bit stale and tame. I was expecting more lycanthropic action, but that was not really the case from writer Eric Winkler and director Patrick Rea.
With that being said, I must also say that "I Am Lisa" is a watchable movie, and it is actually interesting enough in the storyline, as it thoroughly deals with someone bitten by a werewolf and experiencing the slow transition and transformation. And that was actually somewhat interesting enough.
However, it was the lack of werewolves in general that sort of made it a less than mediocre movie experience for me. And this is by no means a contender to the "Ginger Snaps" movies.
The acting in "I Am Lisa" was good, and that definitely helped carry the movie a great long way, given the lack of bestial ferocity the movie had. However, some of the characters were shallow cardboard cutouts, stereotypical bullies, and were just lacking personalities and traits to make them worthwhile.
"I Am Lisa" is driven by its storyline first and foremost, so if you sit down to watch it in the hopes of it being a great werewolf movie with lots of scenes where you see the creatures and see their transformation, you'll be sorely disappointed. But if you sit down to watch the movie with the intention of seeing a woman's struggle with the transformation into something more-than-human and the drama that follows in the wake of that, then "I Am Lisa" will be a treat for you - some might say a doggy treat, watch the movie and you'll understand what I mean.
This 2020 addition to the werewolf genre wasn't really a movie that entered the scene with a bark at the moon. Nah, it was actually more of a whimper. I managed to sit through the entire movie, but I feel only adequately entertained. My rating of "I Am Lisa" is a less than mediocre four out of ten stars.
