“Fallout” Season 2 is gaining a Culkin.

Deadline reports that Macaulay Culkin is joining the cast of Prime Video’s hit sci-fi series in a recurring role. While details are being kept under wraps, the iconic former child star is playing a “mad scientist type.”

He joins a cast led by Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Walton Goggins that also features Kyle MacLachlan, Moisés Arias, Sarita Choudhury, Michael Emerson, Leslie Uggams, Frances Turner, Dave Register, Zach Cherry, Johnny Pemberton, Rodrigo Luzzi, Annabel O’Hagan, and Xelia Mendes-Jones.

The first season of Fallout on Amazon was a big success, a TV adaptation of Bethesda's long-running post-apocalyptic video game series that alternates between bleak brutality and off-the-wall silliness. The cast and crew are getting going on season 2, and Deadline reports that Macaulay Culkin will be joining the cast.

Culkin is best known for his work as a child star in the 1990s, having starred in two Home Alone movies. He's appeared only sporadically since then, popping up on shows like American Horror Story and The Righteous Gemstones. Per Deadline, he'll play “a crazy genius-type character,” which sounds about right.

Prime Video’s “Fallout” didn’t forget Macaulay Culkin. The “Home Alone” star has booked a recurring role in Season 2 of the Emmy-nominated drama, Variety has confirmed. There are no details yet to Culkin’s character on the series, but Deadline, which broke the news, wrote that it will be a “crazy genius type.”

Based on the video game franchise of the same name, the series is set two hundred years after the apocalypse. The official description states it follows “the gentle denizens of luxury fallout shelters that are forced to return to the irradiated hellscape their ancestors left behind—and are shocked to discover an incredibly complex, gleefully weird, and highly violent universe waiting for them.”

Culkin’s recent credits include providing a voice on “The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy,” as well as multiple episodes of “The Righteous Gemstones” and as part of the cast of “American Horror Story: Double Feature.

CBS‘ single-camera comedy pilot Dmv has added Alex Tarrant (NCIS: Hawai’i), Tony Cavalero (The Righteous Gemstones) and Gigi Zumbado (Doctor Odyssey) in series regular roles.

The HBO comedy was renewed for another season and filming took place earlier this year, almost a year after the season four pickup.

Here’s a synopsis: Well into the second generation of a grand televangelist tradition, the renowned Gemstone family is living proof that worship pays dividends in all sizes, including their megachurch. Season three picks up when the spoiled Gemstone children finally get their wish to take control of the Church, they discover leadership is harder than they imagined and that their extravagant lifestyle comes with a heavy price.

Ben Stiller’s comedy “Nutcrackers” has been acquired by Hulu and will stream exclusively on the service in the U.S. starting Nov. 29.

The streamer acquired the worldwide rights to the film, which is directed by David Gordon Green. Green’s lengthy credits as a director include the “Halloween” franchise, “Pineapple Express,” “The Exorcist: Believer,” “Vice Principals” and “The Righteous Gemstones.”

Indie film distributor Well Go USA Entertainment has acquired North American rights to the thriller “Cold Wallet” from Blue Finch Films.

Directed by Cutter Hodierne (“Fishing Without Nets”) and presented by Steven Soderbergh, the film stars Raúl Castillo (“Cassandro”) and Melonie Diaz (“The First Purge”), with Tony Cavalero (“The Righteous Gemstones”) and Josh Brener (“Silicon Valley”), as well as Zoe Winters (“Succession”).

The film follows a ragtag team of vigilante Redditors who, after losing everything in a cryptocurrency scam, attempt to track down and kidnap the elusive crypto empire kingpin responsible for their sudden financial ruin. But when the home invasion takes a turn for the worse, they unwittingly become pawns in a psychological game that will test both their loyalty and their sanity.

Well Go has slated the film for an early 2025 theatrical release. The movie, which first premiered at SXSW 2024, will have its west coast premiere at Screamfest Horror Film Festival in L.

The show features interviews from everyday Floridians about the stranger-than-fiction things that have happened to them.

The HBO Original late-night comedy series It’s Florida, Man. debuts on Friday, October 18 (11:00-11:30 p.m. Et/Pt) on HBO and will be available to stream on Max. New episodes of the six-episode season will debut weekly.

Titled “Thunderjacks,” the series has received a script commitment at the broadcast network. New York and Los Angeles-based casting professionals have voted to ratify a new three-year agreement with studios and streamers.

The Teamsters Local 399, which represents the group alongside Local 817, announced on Tuesday that 91.85 percent of its bargaining unit voted to support the deal. The two Locals bargain on behalf of around 700 freelance casting directors, associate casting directors and casting assistants in entertainment.

The 2024 Creative Arts Emmy Awards took place this weekend, with ceremonies on Saturday and Sunday evening. Scroll down for the results in all 99 categories.

On September 7, 50 awards were given out for the best achievements in nonfiction, reality, and variety fare. Another 49 awards were handed out on September 8 for comedy, drama, limited series and telefilms. The final Emmys will be doled out on September 15 during the primetime ceremony on ABC.

Today marks 83 years since Jimmy Olsen made his DC Comics debut and Superman writer and director James Gunn has shared two new shots of Skyler Gisondo's version of the character.

One was released on X and the other on Instagram; the actor is wearing the same costume we saw in set photos, suggesting that will be his main look throughout the duration of this movie.

The actor certainly looks the part and is best known for roles in Licorice Pizza, Booksmart, Vacation, The Righteous Gemstones, and Santa Clarita Diet.

Eric André says he was “racially profiled” and “detained” at the Melbourne Airport after a series of flights from New York City.

In a video posted to Instagram, the comedian and actor said he was “pulled out of a lineup and put in a special line in Melbourne where I was sniffed thoroughly by a dog.”

“It’s one of the many times I’ve been racially profiled at the airport,” André said. “So this is a message for all Black, brown and indigenous people traveling through Melbourne today.”

André then asked his nearly three million followers if anyone had information about the specific police program, or statistics on how many white passengers versus people of color are selected. He also solicited recommendations for a discrimination lawyer in Australia.

Superman wrapped production last month, but the film’s release is still nearly a year away. This will give Superman director James Gunn enough time to perfect the VFX during the post-production process, and it’s all by design.

On Threads, a fan brought up the plight of overworked VFX artists who are forced to work very tight deadlines in order to get a film out on time. Now that James Gunn is running DC Studios, things will be different, with Superman getting a lengthy post-production schedule.

M. Night Shyamalan just put the spotlight back on viral terror with “Trap,” an escape room horror about a killer attempting to outmaneuver the cops at a concert packed with iPhones. In fewer theaters this weekend (but streaming too!) is director Marcus Dunstan’s “#Amfad: All My Friends Are Dead.” That’s another internet horror movie featuring a major pop music event — only here the murderer and their victims never make it inside the venue.

Starring ex-Nickelodeon favorite Jade Pettyjohn and none other than JoJo Siwa herself, “#Amfad” sees its masked villain ensnare a van full of wannabe internet celebs in a “Seven”-esque killing spree at a remote Airbnb. Both former kid-stars-turned-social-media-heavyweights, Pettyjohn and Siwa worked together years ago when the “Dance Moms” legend guest-starred with series regular Pettyjohn on “School of Rock.”

Steve Zahn is joining Apple TV+’s sci-fi series Silo for season two.

The show’s team announced the news during its panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. Zahn made a surprise appearance at the Sdcc event alongside star and executive producer Rebecca Ferguson, star Common, creator and showrunner Graham Yost and executive producer Hugh Howey.

Also announced during the panel was the season two premiere date of Nov. 15. The 10-episode second season will launch with the first episode on Apple TV+, and the show will see one episode launch weekly on the streamer every Friday through Jan. 17, 2025.

The cast for the second season includes Tim Robbins, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McCrae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie and Iain Glen.

It was announced at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday that Season 2 of the Rebecca Ferguson-led adaptation of Hugh Howey’s bestselling Wool, Shift and Dust trilogy will premiere Friday, Nov. 15 with the first episode (followed by weekly releases through Jan. 17, 2025).

María Gabriela De Faría, whose credits include Deadly Class and The Exorcism of God, plays a villain known as The Engineer, a member of The Authority, in director James Gunn’s Superman, which is set to reach theatres on July 11th, 2025. She’ll soon be wrapping up her work on that film – and Deadline reports that she has already signed on to her next project. De Faría is set to star in the serial killer film Romanticizing Monsters for director Berkley Brady (Dark Nature).

De Faría will be taking on the role of Amelia Velez, a reporter and true crime podcaster investigating a series of missing person cases linked to an active serial killer that her boss and the police don’t believe exists.

Romanticizing Monsters is being produced by Justin Kelly and Katisha Shaw.

The always booked and busy Dermot Mulroney (“My Best Friend’s Wedding”) has joined the cast of NBC’s “Chicago Fire,” the network announced on Thursday. Mulroney will portray Chief Dom Pascal during the upcoming 13th season of the popular drama series.

Although storyline details were not released at press time, Deadline reports through sources that the character is described as an active member of the Chicago Fire Department who previously spent the last decade as a fire chief in Miami, Florida. Now, as the new leader of 51 following the exit of Battalion Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), the generally cheerful Pascal, who works well under pressure and whose leadership style differs from Boden’s, finds himself not only dealing with a new job but the realities of being estranged from his wife.

Dermot Mulroney has joined “Chicago Fire” Season 13 as the station’s newest fire chief.

Mulroney, who recently starred in Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell’s “Anyone but You,” will play Chief Dom Pascal in the NBC procedural’s upcoming season. He takes the baton after Eamonn Walker, who played Battalion Chief Wallace Boden since the show’s start, exited as a series regular after 12 seasons.

The decision for Walker’s exit, which was announced in May, came from the actor, an individual with knowledge told TheWrap. Walker’s character won’t be killed off, and is expected to make appearances in upcoming episodes of “Chicago Fire.” The character had been on a leave of absence for part of Season 12, and returned for the Season 12 finale.

In addition to starring in “Chicago Fire,” Walker’s Battalion Chief also appeared on spin-off series “Chicago Med” and “Chicago P.D.”

Mulroney will appear in the NBC series’ upcoming 13th season. He will play the of Chief Dom Pascal. Mulroney joining the show comes after Eamonn Walker exited his role as a series regular in the Season 12 finale. Walker’s character, Wallace Boden, had been the head of Firehouse 51 since the show began. But in the finale, (Spoiler Alert) he gets promoted to Deputy Commissioner of the Chicago Fire Department.

The cast of the series also includes Taylor Kinney, David Eigenberg, Miranda Rae Mayo, Joe Miñoso, Christian Stolte, Daniel Kyri, Hanako Greensmith, and Jocelyn Hudon.

Mulroney’s recent TV credits include “Secret Invasion,” “Hanna,” “Prodigal Son,” “The Righteous Gemstones,” and fellow first responder series “Station 19.” He is known for his roles in films like “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” “August: Osage County,” and the “Scream” franchise.

Dermot Mulroney has been cast in NBC’s Chicago Fire as Chief Dom Pascal for the upcoming thirteenth season.

As Deadline revealed exclusively in June, the hit Wolf Entertainment firefighter drama was adding a new series regular character to lead 51 following the exit of Eamonn Walker — who had played Battalion Chief Wallace Boden for 12 seasons — as a series regular at the end of Season 12.

No official details about Mulroney’s characters have been revealed. According to sources, Dom Pascal began his career with the Cfd but spent the last decade as a chief in Sunny Miami. Described as a cheerful person who works well under pressure, and whose leadership style differs from Boden’s, Pascal is estranged from his wife.

Before Boden was promoted to Deputy Commissioner of the Chicago Fire Department, he had chosen Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) as his successor.
