Jessica Alba first played Sue Storm/Invisible Woman in 2005's Fantastic Four and later reprised the role in 2007's Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.
The actress received positive reviews for her take on the character and, while there were some differences from the comics (and the odd occasion where Sue was relegated to "love interest" given the time those movies were made), Alba remains a firm fan favourite.
Talking to Collider about her now Roku series Honest Renovations, the Sin City star shared her advice for The Fantastic Four: First Steps' Sue Storm, Vanessa Kirby.
"I think just have fun. The fans are so amazing," she shared. "It was probably one of the best times of my life, going around the world and meeting all of the people that just love The Fantastic Four and love these comic books and can relate to these stories."

Garry’s Mod has found itself entangled in a legal dispute involving the popular YouTube series, Skibidi Toilet. The game’s creator, Garry Newman, recently revealed that the Skibidi Toilet series had issued a DMCA takedown notice against his game.
The news got the gaming community talking. But Palworld‘s community manager captured the collective sentiment perfectly with a witty tweet. The whole thing is very ironic, since Skibidi Toilet itself heavily borrows assets from Valve’s Half-Life 2, the very game that Garry’s Mod is built upon.

From his stint as a child actor to now being one of Hollywood’s greatest directors, Ron Howard has surely come a long way. The Academy Award winner has undoubtedly produced a wide range of films that cover every genre. Bringing another of his masterpieces, Eden, to the screen, the filmmaker demonstrated once more that a superb cast can accomplish what even the best marketing campaigns in the world cannot.

Bulgarian-American filmmaker Konstantin Bojanov’s Cannes Film Festival Un Certain Regard selection “The Shameless” has taken 14 years to come to fruition.
Bojanov previously directed the documentary “Invisible” (2005), followed by his Cannes-debuting fiction feature debut “Avé” (2011). Post “Avé” and prior to his 2017 Rotterdam selection “Light Thereafter,” which starred Barry Keoghan and Kim Bodnia, Bojanov acquired the rights to William Dalrymple’s 2009 book, “Nine Lives: In Search of the Sacred in Modern India.” The idea at the time was to make a documentary cross referencing four different stories from the book, including one of a sex worker in Karnataka, southern India.
Bojanov scoured India to find real stories similar to the ones in the book and in 2014 he started filming in Karnataka, with a view to using the footage to attract finance for a feature-length documentary. During his research, the filmmaker also came across a young girl growing up in a family...

Writer/director Leigh Whannell’s The Invisible Man (watch it Here) reached theatres just two weeks before the pandemic shut down the world back in March of 2020, and yet the movie still managed to make over $144 million at the global box office, on a budget of just $7 million. So it’s no surprise to hear that a sequel is in the works, it’s only a surprise that it’s taking so long to get into production. During an interview on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, The Invisible Man star Elisabeth Moss confirmed that The Invisible Man 2 is in development – and it’s getting closer to becoming a reality!
When the subject of a sequel came up, Moss said (with thanks to Fangoria for the transcription), “We are, I would say – and by we, I mean Blumhouse and my production company [Love & Squalor Pictures] – we are closer than we have ever been to cracking it.

George Waggner's 1941 horror film "The Wolf Man" introduced audiences to, essentially, the "second officer" of the Universal Monsters canon. Everyone knows that Dracula is the captain of the monster ship, and that Frankenstein is his first officer (a position he often shares with the Bride). The Wolf Man is always third in command, perhaps serving as a security officer or an enforcer. Mummies, gillmen, invisible men, Dr. Hydes, and other ancillary ghouls serve lower down in the crew.
Watching the original "Wolf Man" film, however, reveals a dark and sad tale about Larry Talbot who is attacked by a wolf on a misty night in Wales, afflicting him with the curse of the werewolf. Throughout the year, Larry will transform into an animalistic wolf/human creature and stalk and kill random victims. The tale is terrifying and tragic and inspired many pop culture tales to follow -- as well as many nightmares.

Invincible is one of the most popular TV adaptations based on a comic book by the same name, and there’s no surprise that the gaming community wants a piece of that experience too. Skybound, the studio behind the series, has started a kickstart campaign in hopes of actualizing this vision.
The team has been vocal about envisioning Invincible as a triple-a quality video game, which is true to its source material and gives players the freedom to explore some of their favorite characters from comics and shows.
Skybound Isn’t New to Handing Epic Franchises
The talented minds at Skybound aren’t new to crafting daunting and powerful experiences. In fact, these are the same creators who have managed an IP as strong and popular as The Walking Dead. Given how versatile the franchise has been in the context of different adaptations, it’s likely we’ll see the same with Invincible.

The Cannes Film Festival and its Marché du Film have announced the launch of a new competition dedicated to immersive works at the upcoming 77th edition.
“The competition aims to spotlight the next generation of international artists who are redefining storytelling and inventing new narrative-driven experiences that move beyond the traditional two-dimensional cinema screen,” the festival and market said in a statement announcing the initiative.
“With the support of the Cnc (National Center for Cinema and the moving image), the competition will feature immersive, collective and interactive works that utilize virtual reality, augmented reality and other cutting-edge technologies to transcend conventional storytelling and transport audiences to other worlds, narratives and eras.”
The works will be displayed in a large exhibition space at the Cannes Cineum – the cinema complex of Cannes La Bocca – and the Georges Méliès Campus, a university institution dedicated to creative writing and film.

When the Veronicas went over to John Feldmann’s house in Los Angeles last year, the plan was just to share some coffee and meditate. The Australian twin sister duo, made up of Jessie and Lisa Origliasso, are longtime buddies of Feldmann, who was the lead singer of band Goldfinger before becoming pop-punk’s foremost producer.
During a recent Zoom call from her beachfront home on Australia’s Gold Coast, Jessie describes one moment of “spontaneous creation” with Feldmann: The three of them ended up writing the songs “Perfect” and “Invisible” that very day.

The Universal Monsters are one of the fundamental building blocks of the horror genre in Hollywood as we know it, where just about every horror film ever made can be related back to one of their many creep shows. Sometimes this connective tissue is thematic, but often it's an overt homage to the monstrous titular character.

The upcoming MCU movie ‘Fantastic Four’ has been generating a lot of buzz lately. Just a few days ago, the release date and cast were finally confirmed, confirming long-standing speculations. Pedro Pascal is set to play Reed Richards (Mr. Fantastic), while Vanessa Kirby will take on the role of Sue Storm (Invisible Woman). Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Joseph Quinn will portray The Thing and the Human Torch, respectively.
Filming is scheduled to kick off this summer, with a change in the release date affecting ‘Thunderbolts,’ which will now premiere earlier than expected on May 2, 2025. However, despite the main cast being locked in, details about the movie’s villain remain elusive.
Recent rumors have been swirling, suggesting that Galactus might make an appearance, with Javier Bardem rumored to be a top contender for the role. Additionally, there’s speculation about Galactus’ Herald, with early rumors suggesting it could be a female character.

Speculation around just about every aspect of the upcoming MCU entry The Fantastic Four has kept fans digging through rumors and clues: Who will be the core cast? Who will play main villain Galactus? With confirmation on the former revealed by Marvel just this week, fans have latched onto the post, discovering right away that it may tell us when the movie is set. So, is The Fantastic Four going to take place in the 1960s?
There are a number of giveaways in Marvel’s cast reveal. For starters, the title font is of a retro style that fits with the 1960s aesthetic. But looking above that gives us even more details that could help zero in. Take, for example, the overall design of the room, whose carpeting and furniture immediately call to mind that decade. One of the biggest giveaways may be the magazine that The Thing aka Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) is reading.

Marvel Studios has been through a lot this past year with arguably the worst span in its history in regard to commercial and critical performance of their major motion pictures, not to mention, the entire fiasco with Jonathan Majors’ legal case. But as they say, the show must go on, which is why the company seeks to leave this in the past and work towards a better future.

Today Disney+ has released a new trailer for the upcoming docu-special "Bono & The Edge: A Sort of Homecoming, with Dave Letterman." Not only are we getting a chance to watch U2's Bono and The Edge head back to Dublin, but they're also taking the talk show host with them for his first-ever visit to Ireland. The band members have been friends with Letterman for 25 years, but they've never been off U.S. soil together.
The whole thing is set to coincide with the release of U2's new album "Songs of Surrender," which is "a collection of 40 seminal U2 songs from across the band's catalog, re-recorded and reimagined." The use of "reimagined" is interesting here because, in the trailer, Letterman mentions the changing of lyrics to some of the songs as things have changed in their lives. He introduces the band members to a crowd at a concert, which...

Alan O’Neill, who played Hugh on “Sons of Anarchy,” had died, his manager Greg Meyer confirmed to Variety. He was 47.
O’Neill’s body was discovered by his girlfriend in the hallway of their Los Angeles apartment on Wednesday night. According to TMZ, the Irish-born actor reportedly had a history of chronic heart problems and was a heavy smoker, in addition to struggling with a drinking problem.
No foul play is suspected in the actor’s death.
O’Neill’s agent Annette Walsh described him as brilliant and funny.
“I’ll personally miss knowing Alan isn’t sharing the planet with us any longer, despite the miles between L.A. and Dublin, Alan was only ever a phone call away,” she said.
O’Neill is widely known for his role in the sixth and seventh seasons of Kurt Sutter’s hit FX series, but the actor’s career dates back to the 90s.

To gain some insight into the career and ambition of director and producer Doug Liman—a multifaceted, endlessly inquisitive artist—take a look at his second directorial effort, Swingers, the classic comedy starring a younger Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn that launched his career. A tinkerer by nature, Liman understood that there was a different way to make an independent film, for much less money, while creating a more immersive experience. With Invisible—his latest…...

There have been a few underrated blockbusters over the last few years but perhaps none have had the critical and audience response to them quite like Edge of Tomorrow. The 2014 action sci-fi extravaganza, directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity) and starring Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, wasn’t a huge success when it first came out (grossing $370million from a $178million budget) but was a firm favourite of many.
It’s Groundhog Day-esque premise, which saw Cruise’s Maj. William Cage thrown into a war with seemingly impenetrable aliens, only to relive the same brutal battle over and over again – dying pretty much every time due to a strange time loop. His only hope of survival stands with Emily Blunt’s Rita Vrataski, who trains him to become a more effective killer and to help him stay alive.

The Sundance Film Festival is just getting started in Park City, Utah, and virtual reality company Jaunt Inc. is heating things up at the winter event by announcing a Vr series reimagining of The Lawnmower Man, the 1992 film based on the Stephen King short story of the same name.
A far cry from King’s short story upon which it is based, Brett Leonard’s The Lawnmower Man movie heavily incorporated virtual reality in its plot. No details on the Vr series’ plot are known at this time, other than the fact that it will be a “reimagination of the film.”
We have the full press release with more details on Janut’s upcoming Vr slate below, as well as trailer for The Lawnmower Man film, which stars Pierce Brosnan and Jeff Fahey. In case you missed it, Scream Factory recently announced an upcoming collector’s edition Blu-ray of The Lawnmower Man.

Doug Liman is gearing up to film “Edge of Tomorrow 2,” which will reteam the director with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt. It was previously reported that a sequel was underway after the 2014 film exceeded expectations and received positive reviews from critics.
While details are under wraps for “Edge of Tomorrow 2,” Liman told Collider that the sequel will actually be a prequel.
“That is the only sequel that I’m considering doing, and it’s because first of all the story is so amazing—much better than the original film, and I loved and loved the original film—and second of all, it’s a sequel that’s a prequel,” he stated.

DC Comics' Justice League Dark-inspired film Dark Universe is still a ways off but director Doug Liman is discussing his approach. Turns out both him and the studio want a superhero film unlike anything else out there. He just had to figure out how not to put any of the women in jeopardy. Guillermo Del Toro was attached to this project for quite a while before it seemed he and Warner Bros. parted ways on it (probably due to his ever-growing production schedule). They moved ahead with an animated film featuring the same characters which is set for a 2017 release and will feature Matt Ryan reprising his television role of Constantine. But as it turned out, Warner Bros. wasn't ready to let go of a live-action film and hired Mr. and Mrs. Smith and The Bourne Identity director Doug Liman to lead the magical cast. IGN.com spoke...

Viva la blockbuster! Edge Of Tomorrow director Doug Liman says he’s ready to revolutionize, flip the script, and just generally chop and screw any Hollywood concept he can get his hands on, from superheroes to virtual reality to the concept of the sequel itself. Liman is currently stumping for his new Vr-based TV series Invisible—cryptically noting, “How can you be conventional when there aren’t even conventions that exist?”—but he’s also been fielding questions about the other projects he’s been attached to in recent years.
Most notably, Liman’s been talking about Dark Universe, a planned adaptation of DC’s Justice League: Dark featuring magic-based superheroes like John Constantine and superpowered stage magician Zatanna. Liman didn’t get into specifics on the project, but noted that, “When Warner Bros. wants to sort of turn the comic book genre on its head, they call me.

Edge of Tomorrow had a lot going against it. It came out during a time that audiences seemed to be fed up with Tom Cruise science fiction film, and his most recent one at that point — Oblivion — seemed to bore a lot of fans. When trailers for Edge of Tomorrow hit, there weren’t a lot of people who were won over by what seemed like too similar of a film. As a result, when the film hit theaters, it hit with a bit of a thud, only taking in $28 million in its opening weekend (it also didn’t do it much good that the title Edge of Tomorrow was perhaps the most generic thing known to man — not that the title of its source material, All You Need is Kill is much better).
In stark contrast to the lukewarm box office results was the critical response. The film finally settled at 91% on Rotten Tomatoes,...

Doug Liman has a lot on his plate, but he’s the kind of guy that likes to be busy. He’s got the Vr series “Invisible” launching this fall, a sequel to “Jumper” brewing on YouTube Red, and the Ya flick “Chaos Walking.” And if that wasn’t enough, he’s putting another project on the pile.
Deadline reports that Cross Creek Pictures has snapped up sci-fi novel “Unearthed,” by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner, as a vehicle for Liman to potentially direct.

Fans wondered if Warner Bros.’ big-screen take on DC’s team of magical super-antiheroes, Justice League Dark, would even get off the ground after original director Guillermo del Toro exited the project, but a couple of months ago it was announced that Edge of Tomorrow‘s Doug Liman had signed on to helm the picture.

All You Need is Kill, Live.Die.Repeat, Edge of Tomorrow – however you choose to identify Doug Liman’s brainy sci-fi, the 2014 actioner proved to be a pleasant surprise when it stormed into theaters two years ago. Featuring two cracking performances from Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt, a mixture of clever writing and the movie’s time travel mechanic ensured that Liman and Christopher McQuarrie’s thriller found an audience to call its own.
And though it’s taken some time to find its feet – no thanks to the fine line between production budget and box office returns – an Edge of Tomorrow 2 is officially on the way. Writers Joe Shrapnel and Anna Waterhouse (Race, Frankie & Alice) have been elected to pen the sequel’s screenplay, and though he stopped short of revealing too much, Liman told IGN that the action follow-up will “revolutionize” how the industry approaches sequels.
