You may know her best as Sarah Connor in the first two Terminator movies, but in the new film Curvature, Linda Hamliton experiences a different kind of time travel adventure in her co-starring role as Florence. With Curvature out now in theaters and on VOD platforms from Screen Media, we caught up with director Diego Hallivis for a new Q&A feature to discuss working with Hamilton, making a movie where time travel enhances the characters as much as the plot, and two different genre movies he has in the works.

Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions for us, Diego, and congratulations on your new movie, Curvature! When you read Brian DeLeeuw’s screenplay for the film, what made you excited to bring this story to life on screen?

Diego Hallivis: Thank you for the support! Two things jumped out at me when I first read Curvature.

"Why do you think Wells was so secretive about his work?" Screen Media has unveiled a trailer for indie sci-fi thriller Curvature, which premiered at the Sitges Film Festival last year. This time travel film follows a young engineer named Helen Phillips, played by Lyndsy Fonseca (who you will recognize from Kick-Ass or "Agent Carter"), distraught by her husband's suicide. He had been developing a time travel prototype. She wakes up one morning and gets a phone call from herself, which sets things in motion as she tries to figure out what's going on. Co-starring Linda Hamilton, Glenn Morshower, Alex Lanipekun, Zach Avery, Noah Bean. I saw this at Sitges and unfortunately it's not good. It has all the right ingredients, including a cool-looking time travel machine, but just doesn't amount to much and is instantly forgettable. Check it out. Roope Olenius’ directorial debut film Tuftland (Kyrsyä) will have its North American Premiere at Other Worlds Austin film festival in December. Screen Media Films have picked up worldwide rights to Curvature, a time travel thriller starring Lyndsy Fonseca (Kick-Ass).

Screen will release Curvature in North America, with a bow planned for early 2018. The company is also handling international sales on the feature and will be shopping the project to foreign buyers at Afm.
