Dave graduated from The University of Tennessee ('03) with a B.S. in Therapeutic Recreation and worked in California for three different chapters of Disabled Sports USA as a Recreation Therapist before returning to school and earning a B.S. in Cellular & Molecular Biology with a Minor in Analytical Chemistry from The University of Nevada ('10). After receiving his second degree he attended medical school at The American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and Trinity School of Medicine before leaving medical school to become a filmmaker.
