Music plays an integral part of any movie or TV show. Take Dexter: Original Sin for example, the origins story from student to serial killer. It’s hard to believe the composer and musician that helped cultivate the score and soundtrack pieces is also the one who has worked on Pepper Ann, Rocko’s Modern Life and SpongeBob SquarePants. You could say Pat Irwin has range. Beyond this part of his resume, the 69-year-old could be heard on stage performing in the new wave hit making group The B-52s and as cofounder of the New York/no wave bands, The Raybeats and 8 Eyed Spy. Irwin, whose credits include Bored to Death, Nurse Jackie and The Good Cop, has dabbled in a little bit of everything. We caught up with the prolific creator to get insight on some of his iconic pieces. You’ve recently worked on Dexter: Original Sin.

Did Christoper Nolan add more actors to The Odyssey’s cast list? (Photo Credit – Instagram)
All of these actors are also extremely well-known faces from the industry, including Elliot Page, Himesh Patel, and more.
Christopher Nolan is currently busy perfecting his star cast for his upcoming movie, ‘The Odyssey.’ The feature film is an adaptation of the Greek epic poem written by Homer. The storyline revolves around the Greek King Odysseus and his struggle-filled journey to his home in Ithaca from the Trojan War. On that 10-year journey, Odysseus had to face many hurdles and interruptions from many people (including Gods). The plot also covers how his wife and son deal with aggressive suitors while the King has been away from his kingdom.
Nolan’s feature project already confirmed the lead star cast, including Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Anne Hathaway, Charlize Theron and Jon Bernthal.

Last year Bindi’s brother Robert Irwin, gave fans a tour of the lodge, highlighting how the family has incorporated Steve’s legacy into the property. Bindi Irwin recently reflected on what it was like when the team she has from Australia Zoo helped release a sea turtle back into the wild. Not only did she have a reaction to the monumental moment, but so did her daughter, too. So, what did Bindi have to say about the way her daughter responded?
Bindi Irwin’s Daughter Grace Loves Wildlife Like The Rest Of Her Family
One could easily say that the love for wildlife conservation and wild animals in general is an Irwin family trait. What started with Steve Irwin trickled down to his children, and now, his granddaughter, Grace Irwin Powell.
Many Irwin family fans regularly say how much Grace looks like her grandfather, Steve Irwin. With all of the work that this family does on their 700-acre Australia Zoo in Queensland, they are ensuring that things are secure for an entirely new generation of fans.

Baby Reindeer creator and star Richard Gadd’s next series has found its two leads — one of which is Gadd himself.
Jamie Bell will star with Gadd in Half Man (formerly Lions), which will run on HBO in the United States and the BBC in the U.K. and Ireland. The series, which Gadd is also writing and executive producing, is his first since Baby Reindeer became a Netflix breakout and multiple Emmy winner. HBO and the BBC jointly ordered the series in June.
Half Man will follow a long and complicated friendship between two men. The show’s description reads, “When Niall’s (Bell) estranged ‘brother’ Ruben (Gadd) shows up at his wedding, it leads to an explosion of violence that catapults us back through their lives. Richard Gadd and Jamie Bell are set to star in “Half Man,” a six-episode drama series that is being co-produced by HBO and the BBC.
“Half Man,” formerly known as “Lions,” is created, written and executive produced by Gadd, the Emmy-winning creator and star of Netflix’s “Baby Reindeer.” BBC had commissioned “Lions” — from Banijay UK’s Mam Tor Prods. — back in February, prior to the spring premiere of “Baby Reindeer” on Netflix, where it quickly became a smash hit and skyrocketed Gadd to the A-list.
HBO joined the project as a co-producer in June. At the time, Gadd was listed as the creator, writer and executive producer of “Lions” the series — but wasn’t attached to star in it.

The Far Side often ended on the humorous equivalent of a cliffhanger, leaving readers dying to know what happened next whether the answer was somewhat obvious, or a total mystery. This was because many of Gary Larson's best jokes captured a single moment in time, and as an artist, Larson was always comfortable leaving his readers with questions.
As often as The Far Side caused readers to ask "What the?", or seemed to be derived from asking "What if?", it also had them wondering "What happens next?"
Of course, this uncertainty was part of the humor of these panels but just as the greatest cliffhangers in film and TV history continue to provoke speculation about characters' fates, Larson's work at times holds a similar quality. This lack of dramatic resolution, so to speak, also made The Far Side's humor especially unique among its contemporaries in the comic medium.

Storied UK labels Talkback and Thames are merging once again. Around six roles will be impacted, we understand.
Deadline revealed last year that plans were in place from super-indie owner Fremantle to bring the two together under a restructure that has now been rubberstamped with the exit of Talkback boss Jonno Richards.
The new TalkbackThames outfit will be led by current Thames MD Charlie Irwin. Fremantle said it will create a “single entertainment super-label.” Between them, the two produce the likes of Britain’s Got Talent, Too Hot to Handle, Blankety Blank, Family Fortunes, Qi and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. Upcoming shows include Netflix double Bear Hunt with Bear Grylls and Holly Willoughby, and Battle Camp.

If it’s named Swift, it’s probably incredibly lucky and safe for you to dunk your money into. At least that’s the new Travis Kelce motto. Hmm…just wondering if I should change my name to Swift to see if he’ll randomly throw money at me.
How Travis Kelce Came To Invest In Racehorse Named Swift Delivery: “No-brainer”
“Travis Kelce joins Team Valor International & Gary Barber in ownership of 3-year-old Swift Delivery,” was the announcement that’s gotten the Swifties buzzing.
Men take notes: if it comes to finding your lucky bet, look for a horse that shares a name with your partner. To hell with lucky numbers and common sense.
Here’s the thing, the horse wasn’t even necessarily named after the ‘Bad Blood’ hitmaker. It was all a coincidence and a happy one at that.
“It’s very exciting,” Irwin told Associated Press during a phone call.

Crikey! It’s the Irwins star Bindi Irwin and her husband, Chandler Powell are parents to Grace, the three-year-old grandchild of the late Steve Irwin. On Saturday this weekend, Bindi shared a priceless photo of Grace interacting with wildlife at the Australia Zoo. If her dad could have been there, he’d be smiling from ear to ear.
Bindi Irwin’s Little Twin Is Just Like Mom
Animal Planet fans heard that the daughter of Steve Irwin was expecting a baby back in 2020. Wearing the uniform of the Australia Zoo, she and Chandler held up tiny baby onesies in the same colors. Certainly, there was no way their child would not grow up loving nature. Like Robert and Bindi, Steve’s children, it seems that the baby girl is destined to protect the planet.

Writer/director David Cronenberg is well known for his science fiction and horror films, with grotesque gore gags and body horror prevalent throughout much of his work. This is the man who brought us the nightmarish Brundlefly mutant in "The Fly" and the freaky surgery sex of "Crimes of the Future," but one of his most impressively shocking moments came early in his career: the head explosion in the 1981 movie "Scanners." In the film, 237 people have become "scanners," or beings capable of immense telepathic and psychokinetic powers. Early on in the film, powerful scanner Darryl Revok (Michael Ironside) uses his powers to explode the head of a rival scanner (Louis Del Grande), and it is truly grotesque. Gore shoots in all directions as the scanner's head explodes, his face trapped forever in a moment of surprise. It's gross, it's gory, and it's glorious. It was also surprisingly simple to create.

It's difficult to define what makes a film "underrated," but in the landscape of slasher movies, the Australian franchise "Wolf Creek" is my go-to answer for "most underrated." It does seem strange to give the series that distinction considering there are two "Wolf Creek" feature films, a two-season television continuation series, two novels, and a rumored third film currently in development, but the average movie fan has no idea what "Wolf Creek" is or why John Jarratt's Mick Taylor is one of the scariest killers out there. And yet, the series has continued on and expanded in the ways that it has because it's genuinely terrifying.
Writer/director Greg McLean first started on the script for "Wolf Creek" back in the late '90s, but knew something was missing. His first take was a far more traditional slasher, but it was after seeing media of an Australian serial killer...

Off the cusp of his breakup with Rorie Buckley last month, Australian conservationist and TV personality Robert Irwin is once again a single pringle!

Robert Irwin Dances Around The Topic
The 20-year-old Australian personality, alongside Julia Morris, his I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here Australia co-host, danced around the idea of him joining The Bachelor, during their interview.
Irwin initially laughed when the question was asked, but Morris notes that if he was The Bachelor, then she’d go on as a bachelorette contestant, and noted it would be like a “weird old creepy nightmare.” Irwin replied, “Yeah … right”, while laughing, and he added, “That sounds perfect.”

Benson might have had to confront her biases... but she wasn't there.
On Law & Order: Svu Season 25 Episode 3, Benson's obsession with the Maddie Flynn case dragged her out of the squad room right after learning that an escort was a second victim, not a rapist.
While the series missed an opportunity to confront implicit biases about rape survivors and perpetrators, Ray Goldberg's story was one of the most moving survivor stories they've had in a while.
Svu has always been about supporting survivors, and Benson has been more like a social worker than a cop since the beginning. Neither of those facts changed during this case.
Her empathy for the Flynns and guilt over not rescuing Maddie before it was too late interfered with her focusing on the case in front of her. But maybe that was the point: she's unable to shake the sense of responsibility...

In 1973, producer Irwin Winkler attended the New York Film Festival and decided to check out a new film by a talented young director. Winkler liked what he saw in Martin Scorsese‘s “Mean Streets,” and he was flattered by the fact that Scorsese paid tribute to one of Winkler’s early films by featuring a poster for “Point Blank” at a key moment. “Somebody arranged for Marty and I to have coffee, and we just hit it off,” Winkler told IndieWire. Thus began a producer-director partnership that would yield some of the greatest movies ever made, including “Raging Bull,” “Goodfellas,” and “Silence.”
Winkler would be a legend in the business based on just the movies he made with Scorsese, but they’re the tip of the iceberg. “You look at his credits and it’s astonishing, even if you know him and even if your own films are among them,...

At 17-years-old, Marvel actress Xochitl Gomez is the youngest of the final five going into the “Dancing with the Stars” finale on December 5. Can someone so young claim the Len Goodman Mirror Ball Trophy? Actually, she wouldn’t be the first teenager to win the competition. She wouldn’t even be the youngest winner in the show’s history. That would be gymnast Laurie Hernandez, who was 16 when she prevailed in season 23 back in 2016.
Teens have actually done pretty well over the years on “DWTS.” In addition to Hernandez, the Mirror Ball Trophy has gone to gymnast Shawn Johnson and nature conservationist Bindi Irwin when they were both 17, just like Gomez is now. And Charli D’Amelio won the grand prize last year when she was 18. Other celebs under 20 have made the finals, including Zendaya in season 16, Sadie Robertson in season 19, Milo Manheim in season 27, and JoJo Siwa in season 30.

Although analog technology has gone all but extinct in the 40 years since Videodrome first permeated viewers’ psyches, there’s no denying the prescience of its themes. Writer-director David Cronenberg, circa 1983, portended the exploitation of the internet age, virtual reality, and media manipulation. As the head of Civic TV, Max Renn caters to the subterranean market, transmitting sex and violence into Toronto homes over Uhf airwaves. His appetite for depravity no longer fulfilled by the likes of softcore pornography, Max’s interest is piqued by a mysterious pirated broadcast called Videodrome. As he describes it, “It’s just torture and murder. No plot, no characters. Very, very realistic. I think it’s what’s next.”
Max’s perception of reality is altered from the moment he’s first exposed to Videodrome, as devious hallucinations — from a cancerous...

Goddard died Tuesday in Hingham, Massachusetts, his wife Evelyn Pezzulich told The Hollywood Reporter.
Goddard had worked as a regular on the Four Star Television series Johnny Ringo and The Detectives when he was approached by his agent about coming aboard the new Lost on Space, created and produced by Irwin Allen.
The sci-fi show revolved around the adventures of the Robinson family: Professor John Robinson (Guy Williams), his biochemist wife, Maureen (June Lockhart) and their children Judy, Penny and Will (Marta Kristen, Angela Cartwright and Billy Mumy).

House of Villains, E!’s new series featuring reality TV baddies such as Vanderpump Rules’ Jax Taylor and The Apprentice’s Omarosa, is looking to “lean into the comedy” of the genre, according to its exec producer.
John Irwin, who runs Irwin Entertainment and has produced celebrity house shows such as Celebrity Rehab and Sober House, told Deadline, “From the beginning, our strategy was to lean into the comedy of this concept and for the show to parody itself and the genre.”
Irwin explained that the show, which pits the reality villains against each other via a series of challenges in order to win $200,000, was initially developed by the NBCUniversal-owned cable network.
John Irwin
He said that Joel McHale was their first choice. “Not only is he insanely funny, he’s also a hard-core fan of reality television and familiar with most of our cast from his days on The Soup.

“Are streamers scaling back?” and “Is this a renaissance period for indie financed films?” were two of the questions at the heart of a Zurich Summit panel this morning, featuring CAA’s Roeg Sutherland, WME’s Katie Irwin and Oscar-winning producer John Lesher (Birdman).
While the eye-watering streamer acquisitions of a few years ago may be fewer and further between out of markets, streamers are still essential buyers, as witnessed by splashy deals for Hit Man and Woman Of The Hour at Toronto and May December in Cannes.
“I don’t think they are retreating, I think they are being agile”, said Irwin of sales and finance operation WME Independent. “I think there’s a constant changing tack and I think they’re pointing their money in different ways.”
“Look at the deal for Hit Man“, noted moderator Sutherland who serves as co-head of CAA Media Finance. The film was...
