Anecdotes
Although a French film, it is obvious a version of it was made for the English speaking market. In the English dub, there are English words used on the chalkboard and in other correspondence. Karen Chéryl also sings her numbers in English.

Gaffes
When the good fairy first turns into Little Red Riding Hood, she is clearly wearing red stockings. When the ogre catches her, her stockings have changed from red to white.

The French equivalent of The Wizard of Oz...

If The Wizard of Oz had terrible songs, a nonsensical plot, a trip to Africa, crocodiles and a puppy eating ogre. I have to admit if my elementary school teacher resembled Karen Cheryl I would have enjoyed those years much more. This would be a perfect kid's film if it wasn't for the cruelty to children and animals and depiction of Africans as either violent mercenaries or ignorant peasants.

Rifftrax makes this steamy pile at least partially bearable.
