DRAMA
Independent road trip movie written and directed by Leonard Farlinger, with Robert (Rossif Sutherland) bilking the company he worked for, for a substantial amount of money, and it also appears he works for Wall Street too. While he's in hanging around drowning his sorrows on some bar jabbering about his ex in New York City, he then makes out with a female stranger, naming herself Daphne (Karine Vanasse). While he's still wasted, she then takes the liberty to drive him to a small town across the border in Ontario, Canada called Thunder Bay, for the intention of having him to convince her parents that she is perhaps married to him. And because Daphne has already send Robert's bagful of money away he bilked from the company to be sent to Thunder Bay too, he has no choice but to agree to her terms. Another long road trip movie that really doesn't amount to anything, except to make amends for a dysfunctional relationship about why Daphne doesn't get along with her parents. The long subtle scenes is what kept this film from being a thumbs down, since in most movies a demented serial killer would have to be thrown in there, and is not the case for this movie.
