Model of a workshop with lathe and drill. On the top floor there is a gear for the drive. It is driven from below with an endless rope that runs up through the ceiling over the large gear and down again on the other side; the large sprocket has a flywheel on either side in the form of three arms with weights at the ends. There is a lathe and a drill on the ground floor. The drill is in the corner and is set in motion by a rope at the top. A three-jaw is mounted on a carriage in a frame opposite the drill; the carriage can be pulled completely towards the drill bit. A drive belt runs from the drill to the lathe; the axle of a gun carriage is suspended here, over which the drive wheel is slid. Along the lathe is a bench that offers the turner protection and support points. Not all details of the model are understood.

Truss model of the port half of a stern above the waterline, demonstrating the steering gear. The stern has an elliptical stern and three decks, all marked with their webs; the top deck is open. It has a large cross-shaped screw sleeve between stern and screw stem. Just in front of the propeller shaft, the drum of the steering wheel is on the top deck. The steering gear, which runs just below the top deck, is a mixture of Rapson slide and idler. The lower rudder pin, which is moved by the steering gear, is curved to move in the port space of the propeller shaft; it is not directly connected to the rudder stock, but rotates on its own axis and the movement is transferred to the rudder stock with two joints. Between rails, which are arranged between the screw tube and the ship's hull, a plate goes back and forth with a bracket loosely around the stem, driven by the handlebar that goes over two discs on top of this plate. The play in the bracket allows the stem to follow the movement of the plate, without being hindered in the arc movement it describes. The tension of the handlebar can be adjusted with a tensioning screw. The rudder is of the type described under NG-MC-1064. Scale 1:20.
