The summer months of June, July and August are when Brest is arguably at its loveliest. During this time, the weather is warmest and there's lots of festivals and events such as the Astropolis music festival and Les Jeudis du Port cultural fest.
Take advantage of less tourists and cheaper rates by visiting Brest between March and May. As a big port city, Brest is vibrant throughout the year so you don't have to worry about it being too quiet for a visit in spring.
