The ability to forge strong relationships with others is crucial to becoming a more effective manager in today’s complex, global, and highly interdependent organizations.
Interpersonal Dynamics is a course designed to help students develop this ability, particularly with people who are different than they are.
Known to many as the “Touchy Feely” class, Interpersonal Dynamics has been voted the most popular elective for 45 years running at Stanford GSB. For years this course has been transforming the lives of our students, helping them unlock their true leadership potential.
Immersive, Experiential & Insightful
The course delivers a highly personalized learning experience with the ultimate goal of creating more productive, professional relationships. Most of the learning occurs in “T-group” sessions in which small, intimate groups of 12 students learn about themselves and the nuances of interpersonal dynamics, aided by Stanford-trained facilitators.
Students observe how individual behavior affects others in real time, practice key leadership skills with peer feedback, and learn to connect across differences. Through experiential-based activities, students ultimately improve their abilities to authentically engage, communicate, and influence.
