This book is a significant improvement over the previous one, mainly because Cambri gets a new Alpha—Savo—who is everything you could ever wish for in an alpha. He’s a cinnamon roll: protective, possessive, and utterly obsessed with his omega. Savo was the saving grace of this duology.
That said, the dynamics of the relationships still left a lot to be desired.
The males in the pack remained far more focused on their relationships with each other than on their omega. Cambri never got their full attention. She wasn’t the “meat” in the sexual sandwich—she was more like the bread, and occasionally, just the lonely side pickle. The MM relationships and sex scenes were clearly prioritized throughout the story. Even the two straight guys had their moments with the FMC cut short so the author could show us the men having sex.
I didn't like it at all.
I don't care what people do in their real lives, but I don't have any interest in reading about guys fucking each other and excluding their female. A little MM can add depth to a story, but here it felt excessive, and Cambri was reduced to a plot device—someone whose presence only seemed to inspire the guys to be better for their male lovers.
If you’re interested in MM romance but aren’t quite ready to leave female characters entirely behind, this might work for you. I was looking for a reverse harem romance. This book doesn't qualify as a reverse harem at all....more

Well...
This book was fucked up in a multitude of different ways.
‼️Let me start off by saying that if you're not interested in a book that focuses primarily on male-to-male romantic and sexual relationships, then this is not the right book for you.‼️
There are many MM-only sex scenes in this book, and it isn’t until the very end that the FMC is included—and only because she’s in her heat. Even then, the men weren’t focused on her pleasure. One of the guys even described Cambri (the FMC) as a conduit for the males to be together. That's fucked up.
An omegaverse age gap didn’t bother me at all—I’ve read sexy age gap stories, and they can be hot!...more
I kept wanting to abandon this book and switch to a similar series that’s written a hundred times better. I’m not sure what that says about my 3 Stars
I kept wanting to abandon this book and switch to a similar series that’s written a hundred times better. I’m not sure what that says about my interest in this story…
There are so many sex scenes in this book that I actually started getting mad about them. I’m not even kidding—there were three or four sex scenes in the first chapter alone! In the previous book, there were 7-8 sex scenes in total. In this one, there were 7-8 sex scenes within the first few chapters.
I started skimming heavily and finally DNF'd it at like 50-60%, maybe. I'm abandoning this series.
3.5 Stars Interconnected Standalone (Need to read book 1)
I adored book one in this series, but this sequel didn’t live up to the same standard. Fiona (3.5 Stars Interconnected Standalone (Need to read book 1)
I adored book one in this series, but this sequel didn’t live up to the same standard. Fiona (FMC) and Eazi (AI) didn’t have anywhere close to the connection that Rose and Sazo had. By the time the book ended, they had barely interacted.
The romance between Hal and Fiona also felt underdeveloped and unconvincing. If Hal truly cared for Fiona, he would have punished his crew for the way they endangered her and sent her away from the only home and safe space she’d known since her abduction. Their treatment should have also resulted in severe consequences from Battle Command, especially since it was their duty to protect her, yet they failed miserably.
Overall, this book wasn’t as fun as the first, the romance fell flat, and Fiona and Eazi’s supposed friendship didn’t come through. Plus, there were plot holes galore. The ending was too abrupt.
I tore through the first two books in this series and I was really enjoying the story.
...HOWEVER...
The thing about good 2.5 Stars - Unforgivable MMC
I tore through the first two books in this series and I was really enjoying the story.
...HOWEVER...
The thing about good stories is that there has to be movement, plot progression, and character growth. There has to be progress. Everything about this story was stagnant.
Easton was the only character in this series who changed or showed any growth. He was a cruel bully in book 1 and 2. There are hints that he is cheating on his fated mate and having sex with OW. He flat-out reviles her and tells her he'd be better off if she were dead. He tells her the only reason any of her fated mates wants her is because of the bond, and they don't like or care for her as a person. He was awful. But in book three, he really works to make up for it. He earns his place in the harem and the bond. He proves he's trustworthy.
Maddox, on the other hand, is a complete dildo from the beginning to end He did nothing to prove his love. He did nothing to make up for three entire books of cruelty. He had about two seconds of being nice in book one, and then he was so unforgivable for so long that there was no coming back for him; he just kept getting worse and worse. I DNF'd this story at 70% when FMC accepted Maddox without even a token apology.
FMC stayed the same throughout all three books. She had no character growth whatsoever. She finally manages to shift, but then she acts like shifting is an inconvenience and something she has no interest in. By the time I stopped reading at 70 percent, she had shifted for probably five minutes throughout the entire series. She didn't get tougher, or stronger, or braver. She didn't get any of the extraordinary royal powers she's supposed to get...unless she figures them out at the very end.
The plot progression stalled completely until the very end.
I'm not even sure how this is the last book in the series because I have no idea how the author could possibly manage to wrap up all the storylines in the last 30 percent of the final book.

*cringe* I'm sorry. I tried to read it, and it was fine. It wasn't exciting or captivating or romantic or anything—just fine.
Also, the fact that FMC was required to have sex with "Alpha" in order to be admitted into the pack was disturbing. Every unmated male in the pack has to watch "Alpha" screw their fated mate, which felt entirely wrong. Neither of them was able to forget it happened, and the scene kept being brought up over and over and over again, so I couldn't ignore it either.
I made it to 40% before giving up. I was too bored and mildly disturbed. Maybe I'll return and try again later, but probably not.

I got this book from the Romance Bookworms "Stuff Your Kindle" event, and I was really excited to read it. I love the second chance and secret baby tropes! But Xavier, our MMC, is such a douchebag that it completely ruined the story for me.
List of reasons why I disliked this book/Xavier:
1. He had a fiancé in England while the two main characters were together, whom he never thought to mention.
2. He abandons FMC with only an email in which he says his fiance is sick and he needs to be with her. That's how she found out he was engaged when she was head over heels in love with him.
3. He changed his name but is still furious that FMC wasn't able to contact him and tell him about the pregnancy.
4. He constantly degrades FMC and their previous relationship, 'you were just a hole to fuck' type statements.
5. He callously admits that he lied to FMC when he told her he loved her.
6. He threatens to have his lawyers destroy FMC if she doesn't let him meet his daughter immediately, not even caring about how his child will react or deal with any of these massive changes. FMC just wants to go slow.
7. He is ruthless, cruel, and 100% cold, but he breaks out into these furious rages when things don't go his way.
8. He dares to demand "at least" shared custody of the daughter he's never met when he doesn't have a stable life in which he could care for a child. He's in the US temporarily. Then, he plans on going to France for 6+ months to open a restaurant. He lives in London. He's constantly busy and jetsetting all over the world. There isn't even a kind or soft bone in his body. He says he hates kids. So, his desire for custody is entirely selfish.
9. Xavier cruelly degrades FMC, blatantly insinuates how unimportant she is to him, threatens her and her daughter, and then has the gall to objectify her and expect her to put out. Fuck off, man.
Anyway, I didn't enjoy reading this book. I really don't want to watch FMC fall in love with this horrible narcissist....more
There wasn’t anything wrong with this book at all. It was a nice story. There was nothing to dislike about it.
However, the story also wasn’t excitingThere wasn’t anything wrong with this book at all. It was a nice story. There was nothing to dislike about it.
However, the story also wasn’t exciting or meaningful. The relationship was a bit boring, they only had sex twice and that was lackluster. I mean, if this was real life their relationship would be adorable and perfect. Buuuttt this is a book and the story was a bit too perfect with almost no drama or issues or angst or anything.
