The pre-order date is a placeholder and the author has plans to pull the release date up closer to the completion of the manuscript. Unblessed Witch is the final/fourth book in the Phases of the Moon series, which is set within the shared universe of Dark Imaginarium Academy. All series can be read independently, but characters have crossovers and it is highly encouraged to read all within the universe to understand the world in its entirety.
M. Sinclair is a USA Today Best-Selling Author who can be found writing or thinking about her characters and plots nearly every moment of the day. With over 65 published works since her debut in 2019, her work spans from paranormal to contemporary romance rooted in extensive world-building and deep character development. M. Sinclair believes there is enough room for all types of heroines in this world, and that being saved is just as important as saving others.
Just remember to love cats... that's not negotiable.
After reading Shadow Witch's ending, I will admit I was a little nervous going into this book, but I needn't have worried because M. Sinclair pulled through. Unblessed Witch was incredible! Seriously, the storyline was unexpected but engaging, there was even more magic, and do I even have to mention how much I love these characters? The ending was perfection! I couldn't have asked for anything better.
I can't believe it's over. The world that R.L. Caulder and M. Sinclair built was incredible. The Dark Imaginarium has to be one of my favorite universes. I had such a great time reading about Deva and her psychos. I'm going to miss both them and this wonderful world.
Deva is the type of character that you root for from her first moment on page. She's feisty and resilient, yet reserved, selfless, and surprisingly gentle. This last book of her series is fitting, and she finally attains the peace she has long deserved.
Each of the fellas are unfailing in their devotion, and they smother her in affection every chance they get. I felt like a proud auntie when Deva defeated Astaroth, and the buildup to get there was satisfying. This series is one I'll probably re-read every year!
What an ending! M Sinclair really is a genius with her world-building and character creation. Deva and her men were just phenomenal right to the last page. This was 100% a worthy ending to the DIA universe. I can’t wait to read what she comes up with next!
This series started off very interesting but, like the other DIA series, has an underwhelming ending. I will say, unlike Bexley in the dragon series, Deva does get to show her strength in the end but, too often this powerhouse woman is overshadowed by the guys around her, incomprehensibly. The guys are also more acceptable in this book than some of the earlier books and other DIA series but, that's mostly because they become shadows of themselves. All in all, I don't hate it but I've waited an awfully long time (11 months) compared to the length of this book (~230 pages) just to be disappointed in the end.
This was so good. The ending to the series was everything I could ask for.
There’s betrayal, twists, a ton of action, sweet revenge and I loved every minute of this.
Deva and her men grow more powerful and their bonds strengthen as they prepare for the battle of their lives. The men are sweet and unhinged and I loved it.
They all had a tough start so I was happy they finally get the HEA they deserved and a world changing for the better. Definitely recommend!
Such a great end to the series. I love how supportive deva's men are of her. Deva is such a strong character and I love her getting her vengance and happy ending.
3 Stars I've never been so angry about anything M. Sinclair has written, and I didn't think it was possible.
🫥 Finished - Final Review I am not impressed by this book or this series.
At the start of book one, Deva was a powerful badass—a skilled assassin and a cunning thief. But the moment she stepped foot in Dark Imaginarium Academy, all her character growth came to a screeching halt. Her group of guys completely derailed her potential, controlling, manipulating, and outright bullying her into doing whatever they wanted. And. She. Let. Them.
She went from a strong, self-assured character to someone weak and indecisive, constantly trying to keep the peace and stop her men from doing what needed to be done. Instead of being the force of nature she was meant to be, Deva became a wishy-washy, guilt-ridden shadow of her former self. It was exhausting to read and disappointing.
I know the author had a lot going on in her personal life—pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum—while writing this series, and I can sympathize... But I hope this series was an outlier and not a reflection of how future strong female leads will be written. I don’t want to see another fierce, powerful heroine reduced to a weak, little bitch.
It seems like I have waited forever for this final book to come out lol
Everything came together in this final book beautifully! I especially enjoyed the beginning with how Deva managed to outmaneuver Astaroth while being held against her will.
I do wish we had seen/heard more on his reaction to that. That’s just me though 😂
It surprised me with one of the scenes in this book (in a good way) and I’m glad Deva was able to get a little bit of closure and understanding in what actually went down (sorry — no spoilers lol).
The guys were all super protective and possessive — and let’s not forget slightly unhinged (my favorite kind of guy 😂); but it was awesome the way they stood with Deva instead of trying to hide her away for her own good. They let her take the lead and make her own decisions (obviously there was a conversation about those decisions before anything was decided — another bonus), but that seriously impressed me since most often the over-protective hero(s) pretty much takes (or tries to) the heroine’s choice from her in an attempt to keep her safe.
That can get frustrating and, at times, be counterproductive to what they have been saying throughout a book (or series).
M. Sinclair is one of my favorite authors simply because she manages to create the perfect balance in her male characters (yesyes, in real like these types would be walking red-flags, but that’s why it’s fiction 😂): men known for being slightly (or fully) unhinged but when they meet the right woman are possessive, protective and loving — while still being psychotic to everyone else 😈😂
Deva is the kind of character you can't help but root for from the very first page. She’s a beautiful blend of feisty resilience and quiet strength—both selfless and surprisingly gentle. In the final installment of her series, she finally finds the peace she has long been denied, and it’s a satisfying conclusion to her journey.
This book is packed with everything I love: betrayal, unexpected twists, non-stop action, and a hefty dose of sweet, sweet revenge. I was hooked from start to finish.
As Deva and her men prepare for the battle of their lives, their power and the strength of their bond grow even more compelling. The men themselves are a perfect mix of sweetness and unpredictability, and their dynamic with Deva is both thrilling and heartwarming.
Given their tough beginnings, I was overjoyed to see them finally earn the happily-ever-after they so richly deserve, and to witness a world being changed for the better in the process.
I highly recommend this book (and the series as a whole) to anyone looking for a gripping, emotional ride with unforgettable characters. As always, this review is entirely my own opinion, and I received no compensation for it.
This was so bitter sweet. Deva and her story is in my top 3 favorites of M Sinclair stories. Her and her guys have just been through so much. So while yes I was excited to read the end of the story, I’m also sad. That being said, it was the perfect ending to their story. I wouldn’t change a single thing. Deva is as strong as ever and I don’t mean just physically but mentally as well. She gets to have her final showdown with her biggest demon from her past. And she shines. She takes her power and finds the way to help better the world she lives in. I also love how she takes her past experiences and wants to make the lives better of her community as a whole. She’s the best person for that. I was literally clapping along to this book as I was reading it. If you haven’t read any books from the Dark Imaginarium Academy, I highly suggest you do. Even if you don’t want to read all of the books in this universe, i definitely recommend giving this one a look.
An amazing ending to the story of Deva and her mates. I’ve always been curious on discovering how Astaroth could ultimately be defeated, and this was poetry mixed in with a healthy dose of karma. There is plenty of action involved in this final book in the series, and a wonderful epilogue that truly put a big smile on my face.
This shared world is one of my favorite places to visit. It holds so many interesting characters, fascinating worldbuilding, and I love how it’s all connected with each other. I loved Deva’s story: the struggles she faced and overcame, her amazing mates, the found family they built around themselves, … And there is a lot more to love once you focus more on the details, like their familiars and the connections between them.
So yeah, this was a wonderful series and it’s a little bittersweet to say goodbye to them. I wouldn’t mind some second generation stories in the future…
I am so happy with the ending to this story. Deva and her guys faced the ultimate showdown...a war with Astaroth. Deva started the book captured...and spoilers, she was tortured and died. Holy man was that emotional. Seeing her spend time with her mom when she came back to life was healing. (You have to read this book to know how that's possible 😉) Understandably the guys did not want her to leave their side when they rescued her. Then she had to face her fears - war with Astaroth, being the one to defeat him, almost losing one of her men. We do get two nice epilogues so we can see how things are going after the conclusion. It was healing to see how far Devas ideas for policies and a more equitable future for all witches played out. Also - their kids are so cute. I encourage everyone to read this. But for sure start with book 1! And then binge all the other DIA books 🫣🤣
The final book in the Dark Imaginarium Academy series delivers an electrifying and satisfying conclusion to Deva's story.
After that jaw-dropping cliffhanger, I’ve been eagerly awaiting this installment—and it does not disappoint! (Pro tip: if you need a quick refresher, reread the last few chapters of the previous book before diving in.)
Picking up right where things left off, the story launches straight into the high-stakes battle against Astaroth. Prepare yourself for intense action sequences and heart-pounding moments—I was on the edge of my seat the entire time!
While I would have loved more moments showcasing the men’s incredible powers, this book does an excellent job tying up loose ends and delivering a heartfelt, satisfying finale. It feels like a warm hug—a perfect send-off for these beloved characters.
If you've followed the series, this conclusion is everything you could hope for and more. A must-read for fans!
This final book in the Dark Imaginarium Academy world is a thrilling conclusion to Deva's story.
I've been looking forward to it for a long time, especially with that cliffhanger ending! (If you're not 100% sure what happened, just reread the last few chapters of the previous installment, and you're good to go)
Picking up right where the last book left off, it dives straight into the action-packed fight against Astaroth. So expect a lot of action and some tense situations (my poor heart).
While I would have loved to see more of the men in action with their amazing power, this book does a good job of wrapping up the story and giving us a satisfying ending. It's like a warm hug, a perfect way to say goodbye to these beloved characters.
If you're a fan of the series, this book is a fitting end to a fantastic journey.
I can not believe this series is done. I’ve read all the other connected series that bleed into this one and it feels so weird that we are finished.
The ending to this series was perfect. Finishing this book was like taking a breath of fresh air. Just.satisfaction. Deva will always be favorite baddie. I will forever re-read this series, including my favorite little cupcake dragon. Anyways there truly isn’t anything to say. This series was perfect. Plot holes have been filled. Questions have been answered. Im still swooning over the crazy af men in this series too. M.Sinclair has 100% earned 5 stars overall for this whole world she has built. Definitely worth the read. Definitely worth the re-read. This will forever be one of my favorites!
*RH *multi-pov *fantasy *academy *witches *damaged FMC *established harem (5) *med burn 🔥 *4/4 All wrapped up 💙 This series finishes with a bang! Deva finally finally gets the revenge she 100% deserves in this final book, it is rather touch and go throughout the book though about whether she can achieve this or not but thankfully she manages to pull it off 😃 After being forced apart her men become even more possessive and feral over her….shocking o know but they somehow manage it 😅😍 I like how this isn’t only dependant on Deva and her harem but the wider characters who have been introduced throughout this series 👍 and the wider change that’s being brought about 😁 Those epilogues are just 🥰 they make up for the sadness of the series being over!
All along I've been wondering what we're building towards and now I have it! I thought this book was the perfect way to wrap up this series! Deva finally gets to shed her old self and embrace who she's always meant to be. I LOVED watching her learn who that new person in the mirror is, and who taught her how to use this new magic. Deva finally gets so many questions in her life answered and she finally gets to bring peace to her own life. My heart absolutely died watching the guys go through everything without her. The amount of devotion and strength they showed in the face of absolute uncertainty was pretty impressive. I loved the epilogues, especially the second one. Literally start to finish it was the perfect way to lead the witches of Carmina into the light.
Absolutely amazing end to Deva’s story. I was so entranced by it, I had a hard time putting it down.
Deva & her men grew more throughout this book & it was so well deserved. Deva growing more powerful as well as her men. Seeing them grow as a unit as well was worth all of the pain they went through.
But that finally battle between Deva & Astaroth was so dang intense & seeing it play out how it did…::chefs kiss:: definitely happy for that.
Yet again, M. Sinclair has this way of creating amazing characters that you feel connected to & a world that draws you in. This was just another example of how interesting her worlds & characters are & how easy it is to become sucked in.
I don’t think I’ve come across a story of hers that I haven’t loved so absolutely amazing job!
Deva and her guys have grown so much since this series started. We have followed them on their journey as things heat up. They have let DIA and have to done so much to get here. This book starts off where the last one ended. This book is jammed packed with nonstop action that had me on the edge of my seat. I absolutely loved this final book of Deva and her guys. The series pulled me in and this book definitely cinched the deal. The way the book ended was absolutely beautiful and honestly it doesn’t disappoint. This is one amazing series/story that would absolutely take you on amazing journey into a very unique world.
The final book in Deva’s series wrapped everything up spectacularly. After the ending of book three had me gritting my teeth to see what Deva’s fate was at the end of a the end of the athame, thanks to dear old dad. I was not disappointed. Like many of M. Sinclair’s MFC Deva has a gentleness about her despite being a bad a** forged by steel and unfortunate circumstances. Her men are the perfect compliment to her with their growly, somewhat unhinged possessive personalities. Deva is the perfect amount to feminist and feminine. I always love the happy endings that have me smiling and cheering at the end with a hint of a tear in the eye from how perfectly they end up happily ever after!

I have been patiently waiting for the final book of the Phases of the Moon series and it's finally here! Deva has lived through so much betrayal and so many twists and turns that you can’t help but root for her HEA but it’s finally in sight! She has proven time and again to be an incredible FMC who has shown strength despite everything that has been thrown at her. Her men are swoon worthy and supportive in her endeavors even if they can be a bit unhinged. The ending to this series was action packed and quite entertaining as Deva finally takes out Astaroth and gets all of the answers she’s been seeking. This series is binge worthy and so easy to love. Give it a shot you won’t regret it!
Unblessed Witch is the fourth and final book in the Phases Of The Moon Series, which is set in the shared universe of Dark Imaginarium Academy. It is a why choose, paranormal romance.
This was a perfect HEA for Deva and her men. I loved everything about this book and series! The action, intrigue, twisty turns, betrayal, revenge, the possessive, protective men, and so much more, it's all simply amazing!
The writing, pace, flow, plot, characters, character development, relationship development, storytelling, storyline, and world building are all superb. I'd definitely recommend this book and series and will be excitedly awaiting what's next from this fabulous author.
What a great way to end the series, with more magic than ever! Deva is a character who you fall in love with from the first book, and this is no less! This book had me hooked from the first chapter, I loved how each chapter ended on a mini cliffhanger making me want to continue reading. I was worried that this book would feel to rushed but M Sinclair proved me wrong, it was at the perfect pace.
Even with all the craziness happening in the story, I'm glad M Sinclair included cute moments with her men. Honestly I'm sad that the series has ended, but it ended beautifully and the epilogue was very heart-warming, a great way to finish the DIA series!
Knowing the brutal cliffhanger book 3 left us on I was so nervous for the start of book 4 but there was so much action I didn’t even have time to worry! I love how unsure Deva started in book 1 and how she’s truly blossomed into a friend, a lover, but more importantly her own person. She wears her insecurities close but naturally in a way that despite us not relating on a situation level we as the reader can relate to her as someone trying to find their own footing in the world.
Getting to know more of the men’s families was one of my favorite aspects because each MMC felt so unique the entire series that I was genuinely excited to get a better understanding of their families + dynamics.
Ultimately my heart couldn’t stop racing from start to finish whether it was from the action, heartache, suspense, and excitement everything felt well balanced and the ending was the perfect conclusion for Deva and Carmina without feeling too easy (which I despise in books) and I’m just so sad this series is over now!!!
Thank you M. Sinclair for the opportunity to both beta and arc read Unblessed Witch!
The last book in Deva’s journey is nonstop action! It’s a thrilling ride that you absolutely won’t be able to put down. I was really sad to see this series come to an end, as the world is just so incredibly unique and the characters are so much fun. It’s well written and the pacing on this one keeps you riveted from start to finish. I love that M Sinclair always gives an incredibly satisfying epilogue to her book series, so that by the end you’re truly satisfied with the characters’ happy endings. It’s well written and well edited, and so much fun to read!
Ms. M. gives us the fabulous finale to the Phases of the Moon series and it packs some serious punches!!Deva and her guys continue from where the previous book left off.. as they square off against Astaroth with the Society of Shadows. After the battle they continue to make their hard earned HEA. To find out what happens and how they get there, dive into this wonderfully written book with complex characters and plot twists that keep you guessing and turning pages throughout. I loved reading this story and highly recommend the series and shared world of DIA! Don't miss out on this book!!
It’s always bittersweet reading a series from M. Sinclair because we have to eventually say goodbye. Deva starts strong by escaping Asteroth and then continues to persevere through this book. I loved watching Deva and her men grow, especially from the first book until now, you can just embrace the relationship they have. As per every book this author writes, I couldn’t put it down. I always say that the lead fmc is always my favorite and this is once again the case here. I just loved Deva. Start at book 1, and enjoy the ride!
Oh, the ending was amazing, Deva enduring her childhood, and how she evolved to be able take care of the evil that had been with her whole life and to give back. Helping the unblessed witches to come out of hiding. Even to deciding to be a teacher was amazing. The development of her and her men. Even how all her men’s individual families helped in the fight against Astaroth’s evil designs and even to helping the Carmina. The different situations that Deva and even her men had to go through, like her.., well that would telling so do read the final book to see what did happen.
This book was an amazing ending to the Devas story and the DIA universe!! I absolutely love the character in this world, they are morally grey but just loveable. M Sinclair and RL Caulder have done an amazing job creating different branches of the DIA universe. But this final book leads to the battle of all battles that Deva and her men have to win to survive and have a future with their families and world. And how it ends it just amazing!!
Unblessed Witch was the perfect ending to this series. Sometimes I forget the extent to which M Sinclair weaves beautiful, imaginative, otherworldly environments for her characters and how it leaves you in awe. Between the imaginative world, Deva, our insanely powerful but humble and loving FMC and her men who are frankly the sweetest psychos ever, and an epic final battle..this series finale was great.
