— This project is aimed at developing an online Intranet Portal system that is of huge importance to an organization. The Intranet Portal is an intranet based application that can be accessed throughout the organization or a specified group/Dept. This system can be used to automate the workflow of many company based applications and their approvals. The periodic crediting of leave is also automated. There are features like email notifications, automatic approval of leave, report generators, attendance management, human resource management, travel management etc. in this system. This project mainly aims to maintain the database of the employees working in an organization their salary, payrolls with a facility to edit and update it. Intranet Portal application will reduce paper work and maintains record in more efficient way. An intranet portal site is designed to allow information to be quickly disseminated to employees, to make common internal business processes more efficient and to provide a sense of community within an organization.

Abstract: Learning interventions in business management education should not just promise vague outcomes. In this study, the researcher determines the acceptability of teacher-designed programmed modules in Production Management for classroom learning using the evaluations of expert jurors and student-users. The modules use the critical elements of mastery learning and proven effective teaching practices. After the researcher has developed them, students are given an orientation about the learning intervention which they have evaluated after using. The jurors who are known experts in the field also assessed the modules using quantitative and qualitative inputs. The findings show that the modules are generally very satisfactory in terms of physical aspects, objectives, instructions, learning, and evaluative instrument using separate and combined evaluations of the two groups of evaluators. This report will help us to understand how the 30-kW solar PV cell-based power plant will perform if all the system components are same and simulated in 5 different regions of India when the sun is over the equator (at equinox). Generally, performance analysis is based on PSH of different locations, module tilt angle, row spacing, array matching and several other losses (Soiling loss, temperature loss, mismatch, voltage drop, irradiance, shadow loss, etc.). This system is useful for new entrepreneurs to understand the system performance analysis in different regions in India if the system having the same components.

This paper describes a model of modular system for Rapid Application Development of Web-based Information Systems (RADWIS). The existing modular systems on technology, framework and platform level does not fully solve the problems of functionality reuse, rapid application development and balance between the complexity, size and functionality. The proposed modular system addresses these problems in a new way. The current work fills the gap between the modular systems on the framework and platform level. The model uses flexible, reusable modules, which can be built with different technologies. They are installable and shareable with the standard dependency manager of the technology and can communicate using web services. The modules use NoSQL approaches in SQL databases. A workflow engine module, based on the Petri Nets theory, allows a graphical and formal mathematical solution for a wide variety of problems.

The paper is the result of studies, experiments and simulations regarding electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) performance of an intelligent electronic module used to obtain variable and controllable power injection during the Vapor Phase Soldering process (VPS) including the power-on and power-off phases. The module represents an original solution for low conducted and especially low radiated emissions by switching the power semiconductor devices close to the zero crossing of the mains voltage. The necessity to be optimized from EMC points of view is resolved by modeling and simulating using 3D EM simulation software, REMCOM XFdtd, for evaluating the performance and electromagnetic field effects of the VPS process power control module considered as a radiating device. In this paper, we present active optical flex module aimed for mobile device applications. The module utilizes flexible optical waveguides on electrical printed circuit board for data links between high-speed interface devices, such as application processor-to-camera or display module. In this study, flexible and rigid-flex optical electrical circuit boards are used in product emulator designed for in-device optical data links with aggregate data rate up to 120 Gbps (12-ch × 10 Gbps). This paper describes design and fabrication of OE-R/F HDI engine boards with flexible optical interconnect FPCs (OE-FPC); optical coupling methods; chip embedding and assembly procedures; optical engines with 850-nm vertical cavity surface emitting lasers, photo-detectors, and multichannel integrated ICs. Characterization results are given on optical waveguides, I/O couplers, transceiver units, thermal simulations and on selected life-time performance and reliability tests. Low-loss acrylate-based waveguides (~0.0 5dB/cm at 850 nm) are used for OFPCs. Efficient light in/out coupling structures including integrated and embedded 45° mirrors are characterized to meet the target link budget of 10-15 dB at 5-10 Gbps data rate with bit-error-rate (BER) of 10-12. With the chip set used in the test vehicle, the power consumption is approx. 1350 mW for the bi-directional 12-channel 10 Gbit/s/ch optical link (Tx+Rx). This is 112.5 mW per link or 11.25 mW/Gbit/s/link. Bending loss measurements shows that the optical slide flex can be bent down to 2 mm with insignificant increase in loss. Repeatable folding tests indicate of high bend endurance and stability. These results show that our active optical flex module could replace electrical slide or hinge flex and provide high-speed data links free of electromagnetic noise inside typical mobile device configurations.

ABSTRACT: In several recent papers Arthur Robson sketches evolutionary scenarios in order to explain why we humans evolved hard-wired utility functions and the capacity to choose flexibly on the basis of them. The-se scenarios are scrutinized minutely in the paper. It is pointed out that Robson ignores several relevant in-sightful ideas and distinctions that have surfaced in other contemporary evolutionary theorizing. A somew-hat different picture of human behavior emerges once these ideas and distinctions are taken seriously.

Most proposals for security of vehicular networks foresee the generation of a comparatively large number of changing pseudonyms to prevent vehicles from being identified or tracked. Most proposals rely on communication with backend pseudonym providers to refill a vehicle’s pseudonym pool which creates a number of problems, one being secure storage and handling of a large amount of private key material. In this paper we investigate the usage of Physical Unclonable Functions (PUFs) and Public PUFs (PPUFs) instead of Hardware Security Modules for this purpose. While posing some challenges, PUFs and PPUFs provide a cheaper solution that also offer benefits for Sybil attack prevention. We describe a possible solution that uses Fuzzy Extractors to provide the necessary stability.

The QSI integrated tool set, consisting of TEAMS, TEAMS-RT, TEAMATE and HARVESTER, offers a comprehensive solution to integrated diagnosis of systems with many components (modules, boards, replaceable units, etc.) that are subject to failure. The software tool set automates the DFT, FMECA, on-line monitoring, off-line diagnosis, and maintenance data management tasks. Integration is achieved via a common model-based approach wherein a consistent model is used across different tools at various stages of a system's life-cycle. In today's world where the global warming is one of the biggest problems for mankind, sustainable energy generation is becoming more and more important every day. This project focuses on the Highfield Campus of the University of Southampton and aims to achieve a more sustainable way of heat and electrical energy generation in order to help protect the environment.The electrical energy to the Highfield Campus is provided from the national grid which primarily burns fossil fuels whereas the heat energy is mainly obtained by burning natural gas. None of these methods are sustainable and are major sources of greenhouse gas emissions. As the project objective, more sustainable ways of energy production in the campus are investigated, analysed and discussed in this report.For this purpose, data acquisition is done by obtaining the energy consumption figures of the buildings within the campus. In this article, we introduce the notion of injectivity and quasi injectivity of an intuitionistic fuzzy G-module. We also establish a condition on finite dimensional G-modules for which an intuitionistic fuzzy G-module is injective with respect to another intuitionistic fuzzy G-module. We discuss the injectivity of an intuitionistic fuzzy G-module with respect to the quotient intuitionistic fuzzy G-module of another G-module. Some important properties of injectivity of intuitionistic fuzzy G-modules with regards to direct sum of intuitionistic fuzzy G-modules are also studied. A relationship between injectivity and quasi injectivity of intuitionistic fuzzy G-modules is also obtained.

A radio frequency (RF) front-end module at 5 GHz has been designed and implemented in a conventional printed circuit board (PCB). The module consists of two switches, two bandpass filters, a balun, a low noise amplifier and a power amplifier. Distributed components and sub-circuits based upon the transmission line theory have been utilized for the module design. All the sub-circuits and the entire module have been evaluated by both simulation and measurements. It is shown that RF modules at 5 GHz can be integrated in a PCB utilizing a conventional PCB process. PERTAMINA (the Indonesian state owned company) -Geothermal Division has developed a system information for internal use, to support managerial process in analyzing, implementing documentation and monitoring operational activities. The system is called SIMPABUM, (S)istem (I)nformation (M)anajemen (PA)nas(BUM)i. The system has been designed to include three modules; Human Resources, Finance and SIG-Pabum. These are in integrated operationally on the standalone computer, but optimum operation has not been achieved yet. The system will be more developed to meet agreed services, internally and externally on providing geothermal data for monitoring and controlling purposes.

In this paper, we give a comprehensive study of min (max)-CS modules such as a closed submodule of min-CS module is min-CS. Amongst other results we show that a direct summand of min (max)-CS module is min (max)-CS module. One of interested theorems in this paper is, if R is a nonsingular ring then R is a max-CS ring if and only if R is a min-CS ring.
