Knowing that our MBTI test personality type results will see us through college and well beyond, we can now step into the world of the eight letters of MBTI Type and what MBTI Types and pairs correlate to what specific areas of studies, and eventually majors. Mental disorders appear to be on the rise among college students and are having a significant effect on their attrition, with anxiety identified as one of the most common presenting issues. Anxiety is a state of tension; it comes from outside as well as within and effect performance. The purpose of the study was to find out the status of state and trait anxiety of Physical Education (B. P. Ed.) women students and general degree college women students and their comparison. A total of 60 women college students (30 B. P. Ed. women students and 30 general degree college women students) were selected randomly as subject for the present study. The age of the subjects were range 18-25 years. State and Trait anxiety were the criterion measure in this study. State and Trait anxiety of the students were measured by standard questionnaire. Mean and standard deviation were used as descriptive statistics and 't' test was used to find out the difference between means. Only 0.05 level of confidence was considered in this study. Result revealed that there was no significant difference between Physical Education women students and general degree college women students in respect of State anxiety (t=0.04; p>0.05) and Trait anxiety (t=0.90; p>0.05). There was no significant difference in state and trait anxiety between women Physical Education students and general degree college students.

Her institutional ethnography of one elite athletic and academic institution includes over 100 hours of interviews with college rowers and track & field athletes. She charts the historic and contemporary relationships between colleges, athletics, and white middle-class communities that ensure white suburban youth are advantaged in special athletic admissions. Suburban youth start ahead in college admissions because athletic merit—the competencies desired by university recruiters—requires access to vast familial, communal, and economic resources, all of which are concentrated in their neighborhoods. Their advantages increase as youth, parents, and coaches strategically invest in and engineer novel opportunities to maintain their race and class status. Thus, college sports allow white, middle-class athletes to accelerate their racial and economic advantages through admission to elite universities.

Objective: To determine the prevalence of anxiety and depression among medical students of public and private sector medical colleges. Study Design: Cross sectional study. Duration and place of study: Medical colleges of public and private sector in Lahore. Methodology: A cross sectional study was carried out in 2018. A stratified random sample method was used and 93 students were selected. A standardized questionnaire based on Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale was distributed among medical students randomly after taking informed consent ethical approval was given by ethical review committee, PIMS SZABMU. Results: Mean age of sample was 21.81 +-1.03 in a sample of 93 students. Prevalence of anxiety and depression was 22.6% and 7.5% respectively. Female showed a higher prevalence of anxiety (76%) and depression (85.7%). Levels of anxiety and depression were found to be more in public sector medical students and more in younger age than in elder. Conclusion: This study suggests that medical students experience anxiety and depression; however prevalence of anxiety is more. Depression and anxiety are significant hidden problems. There is need of psychiatric counseling and social services should be made available to vulnerable students.

In recent years, universities and other higher education institutions have responded to its growth by establishing programmes of study which aim to satisfy the needs of innovators operating in the area. However, there is not yet consensus on what an esports curriculum should include. Despite being a technology-driven sector with ethical and professional dimensions that intersect computing, current ACM and IEEE curricula do not mention esports. Furthermore, existing courses tend to provide teaching and training on a wide variety of topics aside from those traditionally in computer science. This study tested the conceptual framework of school counseling college-going culture (SCCGC) using a national sample of 15,857 high school students from the High School Longitudinal Study 2009. We examined the relationship of SCCGC (i.e., counselor expectations and priorities, student-counselor contact for college-career counseling prior to 12 th grade, college and career readiness activities, and constraints) to high school seniors' college decisions (i.e., studentcounselor contact for college admissions counseling in 12 th grade, student-counselor contact for financial aid counseling in 12 th grade, number of college applications, and enrollment in college). Multinomial and ordinal logistic regression analyses revealed that counselors' expectations and priorities, student-counselor contact for college-career counseling prior to 12 th grade, college application and financial aid help, and college information and FAFSA meetings were positively related while caseload was negatively related to students' college decisions (after controlling for parent involvement, academic performance and aspirations, and student demographics).

The sudden rise in the number of games courses in Communication departments necessitates examination about how those courses operate, not only to define best practices but also to describe the phenomenon as grounded in communication. Through a series of interviews with games professors primarily located in Communication departments at various institutions, the study delineates the commonalities between game courses and discusses issues of course design, materials, and classroom facilities. The article examines these courses as game spaces to identify how games courses operate in fundamentally different ways than other courses in Communication. The article then outlines how games classes might improve by capitalizing on the strengths—as well as mitigating the weaknesses—of game spaces.

Through this article, we would like to propose the method of urgent information notification or an early warning about the dangers that occur in the college environment by utilizing smartphone devices. Early warning notification media currently still has many shortcomings, a little passive, not directly to the parties who need the information. The media we mean is like a notice board or website portal owned by a college. In other words, the given early warning information may be targeted or otherwise. Therefore, here we try to provide a solution to this problem, which is by utilizing smartphone device to convey information of early warning that is happening or will occur in a campus environment. This information notification system or the early warning system is called e-Announcement. 1. Introduction Currently, notification of urgent information such as hazard warnings in a college is still using traditional media such as bulletin boards or through website portals. If we want more advanced again, the college can take advantage of information technology in the form of social media in conveying academic information. However, both traditional media and the use of social media-based technology still have limitations, i.e. less effective in find target of information delivery. If an urgent information announcement such as a hazard warning in a college is posted on a bulletin board, then anyone can see it, either in need or not. If the academic notices are posted on the website or social media page, anyone can visit it, can see but not necessarily need that urgent information. With our e-Announcement, it is hoped that urgent information such as hazard warning in a college can achieve the target accurately and quickly. Perhaps the question arises how the urgent information from a college can be targeted and done in a short time? The answer, e-Announcement that we propose requires the student to register first. After registering, user data will be stored in the database. So when the mobile platform passes the urgent information notification from the back-end app, the first thing to do is check the student ID that has been registered in the database. Related research that utilizes a smartphone device to solve various problems in life has been done by some researchers [1]-[6]. One example is the use of smartphones to provide notification of departure and arrival of the bus to a station [7]. Another example is the notification of the closest route or route to a safe place from the disaster centre [8]. So it is expected to minimize the number of victims and damage that occurred. There are also researchers who focus on notification system performance in providing services to users [9]. Sometimes, they are known as Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Some of these Learning Management Systems are customized by the various institutions giving them unique, exciting names.

There are different types of learning management systems.

Using a sample of 144 Native American undergraduates attending predominantly White universities in the United States, this study examined through multilevel regression analyses the influence of interactions with faculty and diverse peers on their sense of belonging in college. Interactions with others were positively related to sense of belonging, indicating that Native American students who engaged faculty in-class and diverse peers frequently and in varied ways felt a stronger sense of belonging in college than their same-race peers who engaged others less frequently or not at all. Grades in college also emerged as a significant predictor of Native American students’ sense of belonging. Implications for future policy and practice are highlighted, as well as recommendations for extending this important line of inquiry.

This study examined the perceived challenges and motivators to studying abroad for university students who had not previously studied abroad. Additionally, this study investigated the experienced challenges and benefits to studying abroad for university students who had previously studied abroad. Results indicated that "lack of interest," "lack of knowledge of opportunities," "being too far away from family," and "course requirements of existing curriculum" were significant perceived challenges, while "overall life experience", "personal development", "opportunity to live in a foreign country", and "support of academic advisor" were significant perceived motivators for participants with no study abroad experience. "Finances" and "language" were the biggest challenges, while "opportunity to live in a foreign country" and "personal development" were the main benefits experienced for those who had studied abroad. Group comparisons on gender, class year, and length of study abroad trip were also examined. Implications and recommendations for educators and study abroad organizers are discussed.

The central issue that this study seeks to address is the consistent absenteeism problems that post-secondary schools are experiencing. To address this problem, this study explored the experience of absenteeism from the perspectives of both students and teachers, to gain a fuller understanding of the nature, structure, and creation of absenteeism on college campuses.
To gather data, this study utilized a combination of convenience and typical case sampling. The students and teachers were interviewed at a location of their choosing in order to gain a richer understanding of the phenomenon of human reactions to absenteeism in post-secondary education by bringing the lived experiences of the participants to light.
This data lead to the following three themes: influence of student self-perception, influences outside the university, and influence of the university classroom.
The themes resulting from this study may prove useful to educators who are in the process of constructing their courses, allowing them to creatively address the concern of student attendance in their classrooms. Finally, the results of this study illustrate the need for students and teachers alike to make a continued effort to strive for a dialogic relationship within the classroom.

Cheating in University: Why Students Do It and What Schools Can Do About It
Educators have always tried to struggle with cheating. With the arrival of the technology, the issue has become even more severe. Universities blame the World Wide Web for creating a copy-paste generation. The rise of essay writing services has further exacerbated the problem. Academics now increasingly discuss “contract cheating.”
It has never been easier for students to find someone to craft their essay for them. UK essay writing service organizations offer a wide range of services, such as paper writing (different types of articles, reports, dissertation, and more), proofreading and editing. Their websites are mushrooming. So, there’s no need to do a research to claim that they are trendy among the learners.
Educators aim to protect the credibility of degree qualifications. To fight plagiarism, they offer creating smarter cheat detection software. The Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) even talks about adopting a sophisticated system that can spot a difference in style and ability levels between student’s essays. They also find it necessary to ban so-called essay-mill websites. While these measures are aimed at catching the cheats, they don’t tackle the causes of the problem.
The Plagiarism Advisory Service (PAS) says that more than 10% of UK higher education students copy the fragments of text “from outside source” into their academic papers and pass them off as their own. The Psychological Record’s survey shows that 36% of undergraduates plagiarized written material.
Experts say that the real statistics of cheating is higher. The surveys don’t provide an accurate picture. Not everyone is ready to confess to cheating, even after graduation. Besides, the plagiarism detection programmes show the copied pieces. But they can’t tell you whether the essay is tailored by writing service’s author.
It doesn't take academic studies to discover that cheating is more common in cases when the risk of detection is minimal. A 19-year-old Taylor studying English literature says: “It happens more often than professors might think. The right precautions allow staying uncaught”.
Even when students are caught on plagiarizing, they remain unrepentant. They find a lot of reasons to justify their actions: a lack of time, too tricky topic, unwillingness to get a failing grade, etc. In some cases, they do it again.
Pete, a sophomore studying business, says that most of his peers plagiarize because of their lifestyle. “They want to party hard and do their assignments well at the same time. That just doesn’t work.”
However, the reasons students refer essay writing services are different. Academics offer using several methods of reducing the probability of cheating.
Correctly formulated assignments
Some essay topics sound like questions that can be answered by ready-made essays available on the Net. A student can merely paraphrase the article, and the paper is ready.
Professor Sally Brown from Leeds Metropolitan University, England, says that universities should "design plagiarism out of the student experience." It means avoiding setting simple questions like "What were the leading causes of the World War II? Assignments should encourage students to reflect on their progress or base on their own experience. They are more difficult to plagiarize.

The college-for-all movement is variously framed as a civil rights issue, an economic imperative, and a requirement for navigating our increasingly globalized society. In response, large urban school districts across the United States have adopted and implemented new policies for graduation that require high school students to complete a college preparatory education. These policies are relatively new, and their impli- cations are just beginning to emerge. As a case of public scholarship, we describe the collective problem-solving process that unfolded over a decade, from 2007 to 2017, as researchers and practitioners in a new K-12 urban public school worked together to expand access to college for traditionally underrepresented students. We describe three practical problems—how to frame, support, and track a college-for-all reform effort—and detail how grappling with these problems locally provides unique insight into the larger college-for-all policy context. In particular, we explore the role of learning supports, status hierarchies, and resources in realizing the college-for-all ideal. We also articulate a fundamental framing tension between social justice as redistribution and recognition and suggest that the notion of parity of participation guide policy and action.

This paper presents the project initiated by the Philippine Association of Extension Program Implementers Inc. (PAEPI), a non-government organization, in partnership with the Commission on Human Rights Regional Offices (CHROs). This project was initiated based on legal mandates, on the establishment of Centers for Human Rights Education (CHREs) from among the volunteering Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in the different regions in the Philippines. The partnership promotes the full participation of volunteering HEIs on instruction/ training, research and extension on human rights education beneficial to BHARCs, LGUs, Civil Society and private sectors for human and economic development. This is a descriptive research using various methods of qualitative data collection. From 2003 to date, PAEPI has actively led in partnering with a CHRO in this special project in 23 educational institutions in eight (8) regions. Through varied approaches and entry points, PAEPI with its committed institutional members from HEIs as CHREs, were able to make human rights education alive within their sphere of influence and expertise either through research, extension and training. CHRE is a case in point that could be explored as one of the strategies and actions for regional and international networking among HEI researchers, scientists and institutions for promoting and sustaining research and output utilization on human rights education.
