Betting giant International Game Technology has revealed that it has secured a deal to print instant lottery tickets for Organización Nacional de Ciegos Españoles (ONCE) in the Spanish market.
The deal will see IGT subsidiary IGT Global Solutions Corporation printing the tickets for ONCE through at least 2029, with additional extensions possible. Although known for its land-based casino machine business, IGT has a robust lottery business, as they contract with state-run operations around the world. The company recently signed a contract to run the state of Ohio's VLT system. On the casino side, the company just announced a Whitney Houston-themed slot and the group is bringing their Prosperity Link game to online casinos in the United States.
Regarding the deal, IGT COO of Lottery Jay Gendron said: "IGT is pleased to once again be printing instant tickets for ONCE's lottery players to enjoy. As the longtime, trusted supplier of ONCE's lottery central system and software maintenance services, IGT looks forward to expanding our lottery portfolio in Spain to include new and exciting instant ticket themes."
ONCE Director of Operations and Logistics Francisco José Martínez Palao added: "ONCE continuously looks for ways to enhance our instant ticket portfolio, which is one of the reasons why we wanted to add IGT's diverse game content back into our lineup.
"IGT's industry-leading products have helped contribute to ONCE's success for over 20 years, and we believe IGT's wide variety of instant ticket games will enable us to continue providing premier player experiences."
