LeoVegas Completes Purchase of Push Gaming

Online gaming group and MGM subsidiary LeoVegas has announced that it has finalised its purchase of a majority stake in developer Push Gaming, completing a process that was originally announced in May.

The purchase is the first major purchase that LeoVegas has made since its purchase by MGM Resorts last year, and will expand the company's online slot presence. LeoVegas has primarily served as an operator but has branched out to also cover backend and development in recent years. LeoVegas is keeping Push Gaming's employee roster intact, with executives and lower-level employees retaining their roles.

Regarding the finalisation of the deal a LeoVegas spokesperson said, "With an impressive catalogue of games that include fan favourites such as Razor Shark, Wild Swarm and Big Bamboo, Push Gaming will boost the group's exposure into the booming slots content category and add key proprietary technologies essential for continued international growth.

"As part of the LeoVegas pride, the team of over 100 employees will persist in developing high-quality games. These will be available through major operators worldwide."

Push Gaming has offices out of the UK and Malta and has worked to develop more than 25 games since its launch. Some of the company's biggest hits include the likes of Fat Santa, Razor Shark, and Giga Jar.

The move is the latest for LeoVegas, which recently partnered with its parent company to launch the BetMGM sportsbook and casino in the UK. The company is also making its plans public about an upcoming re-entry to the Dutch gaming market, stating that they're looking to launch later this year after securing a licence in the country in July.
