Rootz Gets German License

This story was published more than 1 year ago.

Betting group Rootz has announced that they've been issued an online gaming license in the German state of Sachsen-Anhalt.

The license will allow for Rootz to operate in the whole of Germany and will cover the gaming domains Wildz.de, Wheelzgames.de and Spinz.de. There are currently nine gaming companies and twelve different brands that are already licensed by the state. Sachsen-Anhalt dictates a 5.3% tax, €1 bet limits per spin, and deposit limits of €1,000 per month.

Germany regulated its online slot industry as part of the 2021 State Treaty on Gambling. There are now fifteen operators located throughout the country.

We don't currently know what games Rootz will offer, but will be updating readers as we learn more.
