Oman Balance of Trade
Oman has been recording large trade surpluses on a consistent basis due to oil and gas production. Shipments of oil and gas account for 70 percent of total exports. Main imports are: transport equipment; electrical machinery and mechanical appliances and mineral products. Main trading partners are: United Arab Emirates (11 percent of total exports and 27 percent of imports) and Japan (10.5 percent of exports and 13 percent of imports). Others include: China, India and United States.
