Lithuania Producer Prices Drop in January
Producer prices in Lithuania dropped by 1.7% year-on-year in January 2025, reversing sharply from a 0.3% gain in the previous month. The decline was mainly due to a 14.9% drop in costs for electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply, which fell nearly twice as much as the 7.7% increase in December. Conversely, prices rebounded for manufacturing (0.4% vs -1.6%), while costs declined less for mining & quarrying (-1.5% vs -1.6%), and the deflation remained unchanged for water supply, sewerage, waste management & remediation activities (at -3.3%). On a monthly basis, producer prices advanced by 1.1%, accelerating from a 0.5% gain in the preceding period.

Lithuania Producer Prices Rebounds in December
Producer prices in Lithuania rose by 0.3% year-on-year in December 2024, rebounding from a 1.8% drop in the previous month. This marked the first expansion in producer prices since July, as costs increased at a faster pace for electricity, gas, steam & air-conditioning supply (7.7% vs 4.2% in November). Moreover, prices declined less for mining & quarrying (-1.6% vs -2.2% in November), manufacturing (-0.6% vs -2.5%), and water supply, sewerage, waste management & remediation activities (-3.3% vs -3.7%). On a monthly basis, producer prices advanced by 0.5%, easing from a 0.6% gain in the preceding period.
