Trump, Greenland, Elon, Meta, Pornhub

Trump to buy Greenland, bromance with Elon on the rocks, Zuckerberg kisses ring

(Jimmy Kimmel Live) Jan. 7, 2025: It is very windy and smoky here in Los Angeles, Jimmy got an on-the-scene weather report from Guillermo this morning, Cher is on the show tonight, Trump gave a double-doozy of a press conference today from Mar-a-Lago where he covered all the big issues from rebranding the ocean to windmills to water pressure, he suggested that he might buy Greenland and sent his son Don Jr. to check it out, Lara Trump is busy ruining Tom Petty songs, Hunter Biden and Flavor Flav hung out at a White House gathering for digital creators, the bromance between Trump and Elon Musk appears to be precarious, Facebook/Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg released a suspiciously Trump-friendly announcement today, Pornhub is no longer available in Florida, and the show shines a light on all the craziness with 2025’s first edition of “This Week in Florida.” #Kimmel

Deadly winds, fires, and Biden hit LA

Tragedy has struck, and we have been impacted. From the Santa Monica Bay to the foothills, Los Angeles is burning. Even Hollywood has not been spared. January 2025 Southern California wildfires. Is it natural? It's at least partially manmade because of the unnatural drought that uses a ridiculously high ridge of air to keep moisture away. Weather wars are real and have been in use by the military since the U.S. War on Vietnam. Paradise got it, Hawaii got it, why not the most populous city in the most populous state? All around us are scenes of devastation and normality, intermingled in a way that we did not imagine the Apocalypse. We were expecting "The Big One," a massive quake to end all services, civility, and any semblance of law and order. Instead, it's quite nice. People are pleasant, if not the best drivers. Mountains are smoldering, but otherwise most people are just carrying on their day-to-day existence without a visible change, except maybe rushing home to watch the news. The revolution will not be televised but the disasters will. We have an incompetent mayor and an even worse egomaniacal governor. What was anyone to expect? It's the perfect formula for imagining something fishy is going on, something willed. This is not just incompetence. But try to prove it.

It was just wind damage in the morning

'Life-threatening windstorm' over SoCal
High pressure wind Diablo, Santa Ana
(FOX 11 Los Angeles) Jan. 6, 2025: The NWS said winds will reach "dangerous levels" by Tuesday afternoon, hitting LA and Ventura counties. Meteorologists estimated widespread gusts of 50 to 80 mph, with isolated gusts of 80 to 100 mph across the mountains/foothills possible. Red flag warning in effect.
SoCal sees its 'most destructive windstorm' in over a decade

(ABC7) Jan 7, 2025: Potentially destructive Santa Ana winds will blow through Southern California, elevating fire risk to dangerous levels for the next few days. abc7.com/los-angeles-weather-... Gusts up to 85 MPH, with sustained winds over 40 MPH, continuing for a few days.

Bag of wind visits SoCal to sign bill
We must not let Trump ruin this country like I ruined it, tried not to ruin it, y'know what I mean!
.
Is it true you tried to hang me on Jan. 6th?
Meanwhile, the weather is being worsened by a bag of hot air (Genocide Joe Biden) on the loose out there, east of Los Angeles, looking for a photo op as he declares public lands around Joshua Tree National Park a new monument dubbed Chuckwalla. Having arrived yesterday to disrupt the traffic, lame duck Biden is trying to leave a positive environmental legacy on top of all the destruction he has wrought with the U.S. War Machine as an old-timer with decades in Washington, DC, doing nothing to commend him or establish a good reputation.

Hindu-Yogi Science of Breath (1903)

The Hindu-Yogi Science of Breath by Yogi Ramacharaka (1903)
(Master Key Society) This book explores the principles and techniques of yogic breathing, highlighting its benefits for physical health, mental clarity, and spiritual development.

SUMMARY: The book The Hindu-Yogi Science of Breath was written by Yogi Ramacharaka, first published in 1904. It is a study of the "science of breath" (pranayama) and the ways in which it affects body and mind.

At the core of the book is the idea that breath (prana, pneuma, holy spirit, animating principle) is the key to physical and mental well-being and that by learning to control and regulate our breath, we can improve our health and achieve a higher level of consciousness.

The book explores a range of techniques for controlling and regulating the breath, including pranayama, the practice of controlling the breath through specific breathing exercises.

Throughout the book, author Yogi Ramacharaka discusses the science behind the various techniques for controlling the breath and offers practical advice for incorporating these techniques into daily life.

He also explores the role of breath in spiritual development and offers guidance for using the power of the breath to connect with a higher power.

Music fest cancellations due to climate?

California Roots Music and Arts Festival 2024, Monterey County Fair and Event Center (Tixr)

(Wyatt's Metal) May 4, 2024: Danny Elfman headlines Sick New World 2024 metal fest in Las Vegas

Which will it be? We'll have both. But when?
Poor rock 'n roll in all its forms. It needs music festivals to enjoy, and these fests are outside, but the climate chaos is making that impossible because of cancellations. This is what science would have us believe. Recently in LA, the big Beach Life Festival got cut short due to high winds and fear of the safety of attendees. The corporation behind it claims it will provide partial refunds. In a wet year, during the cool/cold spring, someone thought it was a good idea to go to the beach? The beach is for the summer because most days are good enough for the sand but not for the water. Only in the summer can one expect to have good weather, warm temps, low winds, few clouds, and other unpleasant symptoms of the off-season. That's why there is a "season." It's not as if a summer festival got ruined by unseasonal conditions.

Death at devil Drake and Travis Scott's TX fest

More festivals than anyone can keep up with
A new analysis suggests that changes in climate are increasingly leading to disruptions or cancellations at music festivals. What's happening?

As detailed by Inside Climate News, crowd safety researcher Milad Haghani discovered that extreme weather canceled or disrupted at least 22 music festivals in Australia between 2022 and 2023, a significant uptick from the 10 impacted from 2013 to 2019.

"I think it's very clear that it's happening at an increasing rate, and the severity of the events, the impact of the events are more tangible now," said Haghani, who began his analysis after a series of weather-caused disruptions in the United States.

Help! It's too hot by the stage!!
Why is this important? While not all severe weather at concerts is the result of a warming planet, as Inside Climate News pointed out, the scientific community agrees that rising worldwide temperatures have caused more frequent and powerful extreme weather events.

At music festivals or concerts, which often take place outdoors, these extremes can prove deadly. In November, dangerously high temperatures in Brazil led to the postponement of a Taylor Swift concert after the death of a fan during the event.

It's hot indoors, but at least there's shade.
The Associated Press (AP) later confirmed that heat exhaustion was the cause. "Extreme heat events are more extreme than ever," NOAA scientist Stephanie Herring told NPR after the American Meteorological Society released its annual report in 2023.

"Research is showing they're likely to become the new normal in the not-so-distant future."
    • 'Nature' becomes an official Spotify artist (WION) A new initiative will recognize nature as an official artist
Last year it was way too hot, too! (SNW Fest)
    Inside Climate News
also pointed to a hailstorm in Colorado that injured nearly 100 people and a wave of heat-related illnesses at an Ed Sheeran concert in Pittsburgh as other notable instances of weather-linked safety hazards.

What can be done about this? Haghani explained to Inside Climate News that further preparation and clear communication from event staff could help attendees stay safe in extreme weather, including heat waves.

"One of the responsibilities of the organizer is to make [free] hydration accessible to people," he said. "I think that is one of the key factors and easy fixes."

Other experts pointed to the need for plenty of shade, water misting stations, and accessible areas to shelter from the elements.

Alcohol [sugar] and caffeine also impact our bodies' abilities to regulate itself in high temperatures, so avoiding these drinks in severe conditions can help keep you safe.

Wild California weather: hail, rain, snow

Woman rescued from LA's concrete river
(NBCLA) March 24, 2024: A swift water rescue of a woman in Studio City in the Valley unfolded today with her being safely pulled out of the deadly waterway by fast moving rescuers who train for just such situations. Many unhoused individuals live in the river because, as in India, the land is cheap and most of the time it's not subject to flooding. But when it rains upstream, it suddenly floods downstream and with nowhere else to go, people refuse to evacuate until it's too late and they get caught on an island or shopping cart clutching an endangered pet.

Spring showers for flowers: Severe thunderstorm warning issued for parts of LA County; LA River rescue
(ABC7) Sunday, March 24, 2024: The Super Bloom is in full flowering mode, and now Indra is mad at the petals and throwing down frozen pebbles. A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for parts of Los Angeles County as residents are reporting hail and heavy rain in some areas. The warning is in effect until 4:45 pm. The National Weather Service says the thunderstorm was located near the West Covina area, moving southeast at 20 mph. A squall hit Highland Park with severe hail and rain for a brief time beginning about 3:00 pm. More: abc7.com/los-angeles-weather-...

Big East Coast storm to hit US this weekend

    At a Glance
    • A winter storm will likely affect parts of the East with snow, rain, and wind this weekend.
    • The snowfall forecast for this system is still uncertain, especially for areas near the I-95 corridor.
    • The storm's future track, intensity, and how much cold air will be available are three of the uncertainties.
This is nothing compared to North Asia
A winter storm will likely produce snow, rain, and wind on the East Coast this weekend, but uncertainty remains at this early stage given questions about the storm's track, intensity, and how much cold air will be available near the coast.

Here is where the storm is now and where it is headed the next few days: The disturbance that will help spur the storm's development in the East will track from the Southwest toward the Central Plains into Friday.

Below is a look at the latest radar, showing where this system is producing rain and snow in the West right now. Snowfall totals will generally be light to moderate from the southern Rockies into parts of Kansas and the Texas and Oklahoma panhandles. More

    Hurriquake: Coincidental hurricane-quake

Baja California (left), part of Mexico (right).
(WQ) Baja California (Mexico) got it first then Hilary slammed into Alta California (USA), striking San Diego and Imperial County, doing particular damage to one of the gayest communities in the country besides San Francisco, Fire Island, West Hollywood, and New York -- Palm Springs. There are no rivers in the desert only depressions from former rivers called arroyos or washes. These flood and destroy everything in their smooth or rocky path, taking out the railroad 89 years ago. It has been that long since such a storm arrived in SoCal. An earthquake on the fault seen today in Ojai, Ventura County, California happened 89 years ago. Coincidence? Sure, why not? It's not as if the government has their hands on technology that is capable of creating earthquakes...unless this man is to be believed. Others have said there are also lasers or HAARP transmission stations positioned in the U.S. that are able to guide the path of hurricanes (typhoons, cyclones, massive swirling storms the mainstream media claim are completely unpredictable, which they would be unpredictable if humans are able to interfere and drive them to do maximum damage or avoid major population centers).

@pepsiholic4084(WQ) I somehow feel that witch is involved, lesbian witch and star of her own show, warlord, warmonger, failed presidential candidate, killer secretary of state, and all around liar. She has her own little-known TV show to keep her quiet. Chelsea was on it recently. She's still a monster. She tweets out then blocks replies. Is she conjuring storms with witchcraft with her Hollywood pack? Wouldn't doubt it.

@davidlarson2534(@davidlarson2534) In the summer of 1978 there was a hurricane that moved north up the Gulf of California. I almost took my usual path of I-8 from San Diego to Phoenix but went to I-10 at Banning, CA, to catch some friends. Had I gone via I-8, I would have been part of the catastrophic destruction of that freeway on the eastern slope of the mountains. I traveled over the Colorado River near Blythe, CA. I was the last car to cross before they closed the freeway bridge because of potential destruction from the tropical storm.

(@catherinewilliams9680) Let's hope there are enough reservoirs in the path of this tropical storm to be able to hold some of this rain.

@catherinewilliams9680(@pepsiholic4084) Praying for you guys from Daytona Beach, Florida. Know exactly what you are going thru. Went thru 2 of them last year. Murdered our beach.

Paradise Lost: fire consumes Maui, Hawaii

Pfc. Sandoval, Seth Auberon (eds.), Wisdom Quarterly

"Apocalyptic scene": Out-of-control wildfire spreads on Hawaii's Maui Island
It's a very remote country state in drought.
(Tyler Durden) Aug. 9, 2023: Shocking footage of an out-of-control wildfire burning in Hawaii has been shared on Twitter, showing the devastation. The epicenter of the destruction is in the old Hawaiian town and former state capital of Lahaina on the island of Maui. 1,700 buildings have been destroyed. CBS News said, "People were jumping into the water to escape flames and smoke from a wind-fueled wildfire." Strong winds and dry conditions have been fueling the fire [turning it into a furnace reminiscent of Paradise, California]. As of early Wednesday local time, fires were active in Lahaina, Kula, North Kohala, and South Kohala. More
    • How do these things happen? Direct Energy Weapons (Dr. Judy Wood) deployed from the sky hit vulnerable areas when conditions will amplify the destruction. We'll have "climate change" and chaos one way or another, and if we cannot depend on nature, the military will do it (rense.com).

Out-of-control fire consumes parts of Maui, sending people into the water to escape
(Military.com) HONOLULU, Hawaii — Wind-whipped wildfires raced through parts of Hawaii on Wednesday, burning down businesses in a historic town on the island of Maui, forcing evacuations and leading some to flee to the relative safety of the ocean, where they were rescued by the Coast Guard.

Fire was widespread in Lahaina Town, including on Front Street, an area that is popular with tourists, County of Maui spokesperson Mahina Martin said by phone early Wednesday.

Maybe we shouldn't be living on these islands
Traffic has been very heavy as people try to evacuate, and officials asked people who weren’t in an evacuation area to shelter in place to avoid adding to the traffic, she said. Photos posted by the county overnight showed a line of flames blazing across an intersection in Lahaina and leaping above buildings in the town, whose historic district is on the National Register of Historic Places.

“Do NOT go to Lahaina Town,” the county tweeted hours before all roads in and out of West Maui’s biggest community were closed to everyone except emergency personnel. The National Weather Service said Hurricane Dora, which was passing to the south of the island chain at a safe distance of 500 miles (805 kilometers), was partly to blame for gusts above 60 mph (97 kph) that knocked out power, rattled homes and grounded firefighting helicopters.

Pres. Tulsi Gabbard would fix B.S. Obama Land
Dangerous fire conditions created by strong winds and low humidity were expected to last through Wednesday afternoon, the weather service said. The Coast Guard on Tuesday responded to areas where people had fled into the ocean to escape the fire and smoky conditions, the county said in a statement. More
