Decent who done it.
26 October 2020
I watch this film years ago and thought I remembered who the killer was? Its a bit like Agatha Christies (Ten Little Indians) which I always watch which ever version is showing.. To get back to Eye See You.. Although I have watched it I still found it enjoyable. Not one of Slys best but enjoyable all the same.

Better than The Irishman
4 April 2020
I've watched both movies and it's my opinion that The Irishman was only a mediocre movie and given all the praise because of the stars and special effects.. Personally I thought Al Pachino was as usual wooden and Di Nero as usual played Robert Di Nero. Both actors in my view are always given praise because they were in the Godfather. Gotti was a faster movie and tho I'm not a big fan of Travolta I thought he played a better part in a far better movie.

A feast for the eyes
3 January 2020
Again Michael Bay gives us a celluloid visual feast but the story is converted and overly long.. I keep looking at the clock to see how much longer I had to go before I could go to the toilet.. Rather bum numbing and brain tiring..

About the best film I've seen in age's.
24 December 2019
Excellent action from beginning to end. Michael Bays done it again. I'll be watching this film again because there's s that much action you can't take it in in just one viewing.

Warning: Spoilers
I wanted to enjoy this film "BUT" I expected to much. I liked the actors and I liked the settings etc But there was plenty things that didn't make any sought of sense to me. We are expected to believe that there is a small tribe of troglodytes living in the American outback who capture cowboys etc to consume as food? This tribe kill people after fighting yet leave the bodies to either rot or get eaten by wild life but kill there captives after struggling to get them into the cave, This tribe live in a small cave in the side of a mountain which can only be accessed by a couple of ropes ? This tribe we are again to believe can do throat surgery and implant some sought of device into each others necks to make them sound more vocal ? We are also expected to believe that they have stayed hidden for hundreds of years yet the tribe only has a few members ?,

Next we are expected to believe that the lead characters can be injured yet seem to show no pain even though one has a whiskey hipflask which has been made white hot inserted into his body BUT he only makes a whimper? It makes me wonder If the directors, producers and editors ever sit back and actually watch these films with logical eyes before releasing them to the viewing public.

A reasonable film
29 September 2015
Dolph is quite good, Luke's not bad and the rest off the cast is OK but my main gripe is why Micky Rorke likes like hes just stepped out of The Planet of the Apes in full make up.. Has he had more bad plastic surgery? The film its self isn't on par with the Dirty Dozen or most of the other movies of the same genre and Unfortunately I didn't feel like I could root for any of the individual characters but that aside I kept watching and was quit please that I did. The scenery was convincing as were the sets, The special effects looked good and when someone was shot they looked like the had really been shot A reasonable movie to fill one and half hours.

Not to bad
21 September 2015
I started off thinking "O No" not another Crap Nicklaus Cage film and was pleasantly surprised when he WASN'T in it much..I've seen some Cage flix in the past and been very disappointed.. With his drawl he cant do any other ascent only the one he was born with. Whom ever thinks he can is seriously deluded. Hayden Christian on the other hand was a pleasure to watch. The film is made for the US/English speaking market so of coarse the Chinese/Oriental actors have to Speak English. If not then we wouldn't understand it without sub-titles. As for the movie it had some beautiful scenery. A reasonably story and 99.9% of the cast were good in there parts. On the whole an enjoyable film to watch on a wet Derbyshire early autumn afternoon

Best Carry On
2 May 2015
Warning: Spoilers
I watched this movie again yesterday and I still laughed like it was the first time id seen it..Its my all time favorite Carry on with Carry on Cleo being my second favorite..Harry H Corbett and Peter Butterworth are brilliant as the inept coppers, Jim Dale stands out as the boyfriend of one of the girls who is kidnapped, I've never been a fan of Mr Williams but I have to say he does a good job as the villain with his death scene as over the top and really funny as ever .. My only complaint is that I think Sid James should have played the CSI/ scientist instead of John Pertwee and Pertwee could have played an Egor character as another foil to Kenneth Williams. What I think made the film was that they didn't stick to one horror story but bought in and mixture of Frankenstein, Werewolf's and Vampires etc

I enjoyed it
8 March 2015
I'm sorry Lavina but I enjoyed it. I enjoyed the locations and the acting but I have to admit there wasn't the brutality as there would have been in the early stages of the settlement of the real Australia. I also found that certain things didn't look true to life eg When the woman gets flogged shes up and walking the same day after 25 lashes (I don't think so)flogging would have been a major injury which would have needed several days if not weeks to get better. There also wasn't the broad spectrum of ages in the prisoners, there was no age limits to who was transported from children as young as 5yrs through to the elderly and most were sent for as little as supposedly stealing a piece of bread.

Great, Fantastic, Excellent Film
24 December 2014
What is there to say that hasn't been said my a multitude of reviewers, Great, Fantastic, Excellent Film. The best hero, The best action, The best story, The best villains, The best scenery, should I go on. An all round Boys Own Adventure (but then I am biased as I live not far from Sherwood Forest so the stories are in my blood.) Cosner, Crow etc eat your heart out coz you will never beat Flynn and the only actress to come close to De-Havaland is Audrey Hetburn in Robin and Marion. I must have watched this version 50 times over the years since I was a little kid and Im now 62 yrs old and I've never found it boring and always found something new and i'll watch it another 50 times If I have chance.. My all time favorite A Film that cant be bettered

Disappointing
15 December 2014
I don't know if its me or 2014 but I've watched quite a few films over the past year and to tell the truth I've been disappointed with most..in relation to this movie I was expecting to be laughing my socks off from the beginning to the end but NO..I wasn't. After a long wait I had expected the movie to be a vast improvement on Dumb and Dumber 1 but NOOOOOOOO..I've never been a big fan of Jim Carries but I have to admit some of his work has made me chuckle out loud.. Jeff Daniels on the other hand I've found to be a solid actor with a good body of work to be proud of..UNTIL NOW.. If you decide you want to go see this film then don't expect great things.

Stunning Visuals
7 November 2014
As in the summary I thought the visuals were stunning..but the story was left wanting. I came back this afternoon from watching this movie with more questions than answers erg how can they create a space craft that can go into the depths of space pass through a worm hole and land on different planets etc yet the craft looks like it had just come from Steptoes junk yard..

In the film Michale Caine starts off looking like hes well into his seventies and yet 23yrs later the only change in him is hes in a wheel chair.

Most of the films I go and watch at the cinema I watch a second time on DVD because I know I've missed something at my first viewing, But I wont be bothering to rent Intersteller.. On the whole a very disappointing 3 hour viewing, I expected a lot more

Entertaining
31 October 2014
After Errol Flynn, Richard Greene was the actor I mostly associated with the legend of Robin Hood. I was born and bought up very close to Sherwood Forest and when I was a lad we visited the forest on numerous occasions, I still live close by and I travel by the Major Oak at least once a every month to visit my children. I was bought up in the late 50s/60s when TV was in it infancy and the Adventures of Robin Hood was a must see every week (We only had 2 TV channels in the UK) LOL My only complaint is in the Richard Greene series (WHY)did they use the same actors to play multiple parts "Sometimes in the same episode" (WHY) Wasn't there enough good British actors in the UK.

I still watch and enjoy the repeats on the FILMON TV internet site

Fair film
27 October 2014
I didn't go to watch this movie because I wanted to learn about our memories or our brains, I went with the hope that I may be entertained and I'm glad to say my hopes were fulfilled. Im not a big fan of Scarletts and will never understand what people see in her but it was a film I wanted to watch and I'm glad I did. It was entertaining with some good action scenes and OK the story wasn't fantastic but on the whole I enjoyed it.

What I didn't understand was why after accidentally taking the drug it made Scarlott super human with fantastic fighting skills and as she goes through her changes she can develop a fantastic memory with out anything to learn from..none of this was explained to my knowledge.

Id watch this movie again when its released on DVD etc to see what I missed as we never quite see everything in the first viewing

Noah (2014)

Near total rubbish
23 October 2014
I was expecting a lot and got very little..I was looking foreword to watching this movie and was very very disappointed. This film was more of a joke than a real telling of the Noah story from the bible. Its hard to put into words what is wrong with this movie yet Im going to try.. First of all there's the use of CGI rock creatures which is totally absurd, This is supposed to be a biblical epic not a Scifi film.

Next there's Ray Winstone acting and sarf landon accent, how ridicules to expect people not to laugh out loud at such terrible acting and the use of the English language..who ever says hes a great actor wants there head examining.

Next the bible says it rained for 30 days and 30 nights yet most of the water in the film comes from under ground.

Why O Why did Russel Crow ever agree to be in this load of total cr.p (he must have been in need of the money) and didn't the backers read or see what was planned for this movie. I gave this film 3 in the voting and that was pushing it..

Rubbish
17 October 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I watched half the film then I had to switch it off. I was looking foreword to watching this movie yet by the time I switched off I was very very disappointed. I enjoyed the first Ironclad even though there was some things I thought were not as they should be eg If I was having my hands and feet chopped off I think I would be screaming a lot longer and not just minimally moaning.. and with number 2 I don't know what film some of the other reviewers were watching but I found the fight scenes very stilted and unbelievable.. Rubbish Story, Rubbish acting, Rubbish hero and villain, Rubbish fight scenes.. How did they get the money to make this waste of film?
