The strong coupling constant: State of the art and the decade ahead / d'Enterria, D. (CERN) ; Kluth, S. (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Zanderighi, G. (Munich, Max Planck Inst.) ; Ayala, C. Theoretical predictions for particle production cross sections and decays at colliders rely heavily on perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) calculations, expressed as an expansion in powers of the strong coupling constant $\alpha_s$. The current $\mathcal{O}(1\%)$ uncertainty of the QCD coupling evaluated at the reference Z boson mass, $\alpha_s(m_Z) = 0.1179 \pm 0.0009$, is one of the limiting factors to more precisely describe multiple processes at current and future colliders. The anomalous magnetic moment of the muon in the Standard Model / Aoyama, T. (KEK, Tsukuba ; Nishina Ctr., RIKEN ; KMI, Nagoya) ; Asmussen, N. (Southampton U.) ; Benayoun, M. We review the present status of the Standard Model calculation of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. This is performed in a perturbative expansion in the fine-structure constant $\alpha$ and is broken down into pure QED, electroweak, and hadronic contributions. [...]

A summary of the main points of discussion raised during the talks and their follow-up questions,as well as in the round table of the last day of the $α_s$ (2019) workshop, is presented. The discussions not only focused on particular issues affecting each one of the individual $α_s$ extractions, but also on the current PDG categorization of $α_s$ measurements and on the methods used to average them into a single $α_s$ ($m_Z$) value. Higher-Order Corrections to the Large-$N_c$ Bound on $M_{\eta}/M_{\eta'}$ / Peris, S. (CERN)
Next-to-leading $1/\N$ corrections to the upper bound on $M_{\eta}/M_{\eta '}$ recently obtained by Georgi are considered. These corrections are just what is needed to reconcile the bound with the observed $\eta$ and $\eta'$ masses..

Two-loop electroweak corrections to the muon g-2 : a new class of hadronic contributions / Peris, Santiago (Marseille, CPT ; CERN) ; Perrottet, Michel (Marseille, CPT) ; de Rafael, Eduardo (Marseille, CPT)
We discuss, within the framework of the Standard Model, the calculation of the two-loop electroweak contributions to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon involving triangle fermionic loops of leptons and quarks. Because of the large ratios of masses involved, these contributions are rather large. [...]

Looking at the QCD corrections for large M$_{t}$ : an effective lagrangian point of view / Peris, S. (CERN)
We discuss the QCD corrections to the large-$m_t$ electroweak contributions to $\Delta r$ and to the process $Z\to b \bar b$ as two of the most representative examples. This needs the construction of an effetive field theory below the top quark. [...]

An effective field theory approach to the QCD corrections to the large-m$_{t}$ Zb$\overline{b}$ vertex / Peris, Santiago (CERN) ; Santamaria, Arcadi (Valencia U.)
Using effective field theory techniques we discuss the QCD corrections to the large-$m_t$ contributions to the process $Z\rightarrow b \bar b$. In particular we obtain the $\a$ correction to the non-universal $\log m_t$ contribution to the $Zb\bar b$ vertex..

On the large-N$_{c}$ behaviour of the L$_{7}$ coupling in $\chi$PT / Peris, Santiago (Marseille, CPT ; CERN) ; de Rafael, Eduardo (Marseille, CPT)
It is shown that the usual large-$N_c$ counting of the coupling constant $L_{7}$ of the ${\cal O}(p~4)$ low-energy chiral $SU(3)$ Lagrangian \cite{GL85} is in conflict with general properties of QCD in the large-$N_c$ limit. The solution of this conflict within the framework of a chiral $U(3)$ Lagrangian is explained..
