GPR103 (G protein-spregnuti receptor 103, piroglutamilisani RF amid peptidni receptor, oreksigenski neuropeptidni QRFP receptor) je protein koji je kod čoveka kodiran QRFPR genom.[1][2]
Funkcija
[уреди | уреди извор]G protein spregnuti receptori sadrže sedam transmembranskih domena i prenose ekstracelularne signale putem heterotrimernih G proteina.[1]
P518, RF-amidni peptid sa 26 aminokiselina, funkcioniše kao ligand visokog afiniteta za GPR103 receptor. iRNK prekurzori GPR103 i P518 proteina su visoko izraženi u mozgu.[3] QRFP peptid sa 43 aminokiselina, što je duži oblik P518 peptida, je neophodan za punu agonističku aktivnosti GPR103 receptora. Intravenozna administracija QRFP peptida uzrokuje oslobađanje aldosterona, iz čega proizilazi da QRFP i GPR103 regulišu adrenalnu funkciju.[4]
