Integrating environmental goals in a company"s mission and strategies not only improves the compa... more Integrating environmental goals in a company"s mission and strategies not only improves the company"s image as a socially responsible organization but also help in gaining a leading position of first mover advantage. In today"s era, due to the increasing pressures towards sustainability and pro-environment policies, organizations as well as governments are making efforts in this direction. The purpose of this study is to find out the role of organizations in following green practices such as green organizational identity and green innovation performance. The current study investigates the association between green organizational identity, environmental commitment, and green innovation performance. Moreover, we also investigate how environmental commitment mediates the relationship between green organizational identity and green innovation performance. Data from manufacturing organizations is taken, these are the companies registered with WWF Green office project. Following a quantitative approach, the hypotheses developed in the light of literature are tested using structural equation modeling (SEM). Result indicates that a complementary partial mediation exists between green organizational identity, environmental commitment, and green innovation performance. Moreover, this study also aims to help in comprehending to what extent organizations are focusing on the environment and how much they value both the environment and making their operations green.

Over the time, the emergence of various theories has unfolded the unique influential roles of leadership embedded in organizational management. Amongvarious leadership styles and theories, a relatively new concept of Authentic Leadership (AL) is worthy of attention with respected to the changing demands of the media industry. The origin of the concept of authenticity is found in ancient Greek philosophy and it is defined in history as “being true to oneself”. Trust is the basic constituent based on which people can count on one another and work together in a conducive environment. AL is an idea to leadership that focuses on developing leader’s legitimacy via “honest relationships with followers”. In this study, AL is measured through four dimensions that include Self-awareness, Balanced Processing, Moral Perspective and Relational Transparency. Media is expected to be a watchdog on affairs of the state and government, therefore, public requires media industry to be responsive, transparent and unbiased based on principles of ethics and true reporting. In order to achieve a positive environment and culture in the organization, this study focuses on the idea of Organization Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in connection with AL. This paper investigates the relationship between the said variables and tries to find out the impact of AL on OCB, for that matter, a quantitative research strategyhas been followed.Respondents for this study were conveniently selected from bureau offices of six news channels making the sample size to be 220.The analysis led to the conclusion that all the dimensions of AL were positively related with OCB. Moreover, the regression analysis aided in concluding that the four dimensions of AL under consideration contributed approximately 61.3% in predicting the dependent variable i.e. OCB.

Transactional leadership and Transformational leadership are two key styles who gain immense importance from past few decades. This study is about these two leadership styles having impact on employee's performance in FMCG industry of Pakistan. Data have been collected from 318 employees and has been concluded that though both leadership styles are having positive relation with employee performance but, transactional leadership style has strongly positive correlation with the performance of the employees. Along with Pearson correlation, Linear Regression Analysis has also been used in order to predict the predictor's contribution towards employees' performance. Moreover, it has been recommended that if Pakistan FMCG industry focuses on Transactional Leadership Style through trainings and different manuals, then it can develop such leaders in a better way.

Hence, the focus of this research is on the impact of Non-Financial Incentives on Organizational Commitment. The methodology used in this study is a survey of 175 employees from 20 companies that were selected randomly from the population i.e. Food and Beverage industry of Pakistan. Statistical tools used for testing the hypotheses that were developed on the basis of literature review, were spearman's rho correlation and regression. Results show that job-related incentives relatively play significant role in instigating organizational commitment among employees in an organization.

This script presents description of Training and Development (T and D) practices at Shaukat Khanu... more This script presents description of Training and Development (T and D) practices at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH and RC), a world renowned charitable organization situated in Pakistan. Purpose of this study is to highlight and evaluate T and D practices in order to present them as a success tale and model for other organizations. SKMCH and RC claims to pursue the strategy of having state of the art cancer treatment technology coupled with competitively developed workforce. To achieve this objective, Human Resource Department has developed a blend of several training programs that vary from a comprehensive orientation plan to training on the issues of Motivation, Leadership, Brand Activation, Customer Service, Stress Management and other soft skills. A qualitative approach has been used to address the objectives and for that matter, both primary and secondary data have been collected. The analysis focuses on entire T and D process starting from Training Need Assessment to measuring Training Effectiveness. Moreover, text of Raymond A. Noe has been referred to enlighten impact of some different learning theories on training design of SKMCH and RC. In the end, along with the recommendations, impact of environmental factors on transfer of knowledge has also been reviewed. The study also provides a framework for understanding the T and D environment at the organization under study.

quantitative research strategy has been adopted and statistical tools (Spearman’s rho
correlation and regression) have been used to test the hypotheses that researchers
developed using available literature. The study concludes that out of the four dimensions
of good governance, political stability contributes highly towards economic growth.

The term "Police Violence" it-self sounds awkward and contradictory, but it refers to a situation where allegedly this law enforcing agency is involved in violating rights of the public and is involved in some sort of misuse or over use of its powers, hence troubling the general public in one way or the other. This qualitative study is based on in-depth interviews with different stakeholders (including the Police force it-self) identified by the researchers and tries to integrate their responses and explore different forms of such alleged violence and importantly investigate potential circumstances where this over use of power is justified or is given protection. Different stakeholders have different opinion on the subject under study.

Public health has various dimensions and it is said that public health concerns and awareness varies with different sections of the society. This paper analyzes one aspect of public health taking into concern the awareness of Water Quality amongst students. Reason behind selecting university students for this study is that, this section of the society apparently is exposed to a variety of information and is therefore expected to be more aware of different issues and concerns pertaining to their health or other rights. If this cohort is not aware of the importance water quality and its likely repercussions, then it can be a serious cause of concern for health policy makers. In developing countries like Pakistan despite being of significance provision of safe drinking water has not been fully achieved even in the major cities. In this paper, core
focus is on gauging awareness levels amongst students regarding drinking water quality and how in turn they perceive that this may affect their health and performance. Following the quantitative analysis, it has been concluded that students are not knowledgeable regarding quality of water they consume and it’s after effects. Lastly, few recommendations have been given that may be used by policy makers and educationists to address issues highlighted in this study.
