How to Play

Move around each stage while avoiding hazards and collecting apples to grow your worm. Make it through the exit portal to the next stage.

• Starting the Game
  • The game loads directly to the level select screen. Select a level to play it.
    • Levels are unlocked sequentially.
    • Your web browser automatically saves your game progress including completed levels.
• Game Controls
  • Desktop
    • Press the A key or the left arrow key to move left.
    • Press the D key or the right arrow key to move right.
    • Press the W key or the up arrow key to move up.
    • Press the S key or the down arrow key to move down.
  • Touchscreen devices
    • Tap the screen with a finger and slide your finger in the direction you wish to move the worm a square.
    • Repeat the process as many times as needed to travel as far as you like & change directions whenever needed.
  • Controls & indicators
    • The upper left corner of the screen has 3 buttons for sound control, level select, and restarting the current level. The level number is shown to the right of these 3 buttons.
    • The level select screen shows which levels you have unlocked.
• Game Play
  • Basics
    • This is a logic puzzle and platforming game where you have to move the worm to the exit portal.
      • Be careful not to fall off platform or run into other hazards.
      • As you eat apples your worm grows longer, which enables you to reach more distant platforms.
      • The game features a variety of other aspects in addition to fixed platforms. The following section highlights some of the more notable features.
  • Features
    • Fixed platforms – move your worm across them to climb or move horizontally around the level.
    • Apples – each apple you eat extends the length of your worm by one square.
      • Apples can also be used as floating platforms, provided you do not move into them head first, but instead move parallel to them.
    • Boxes – these act as floating platforms you can move your worm across.
      • You can push boxes around to move them to more advantageous positions.
    • Balloons – you can move through balloons or across the top of them.
      • Balloons act as floating platforms which do not move.
    • Spikes – running into spikes is an instant death.
    • Exit portal – touch this with the head of the worm to beat the level and unlock the next.
  • Levels
    • This game has 30 stages which are unlocked sequentially.
      • You can replay previously beat levels at any time.
    • Winning vs losing
      • You beat a level by making it through the exit portal with the head of the worm.
      • You lose if you fall off platform or run into a spike.
      • If you get stuck you can select the restart button in the upper left to reload the current level.
      • This game offers unlimited continues.
  • Tips
    • You can’t move into a spot where your worm is already located, so be sure to collect items in the correct order so that you don’t get stuck with your tail blocking your position.
    • The game requires a lot of back and forth, grabbing items from the correct direction & knowing which items to move how far and when to collect apples.
    • Be sure at least one cell of your worm is connected to standing on a platform, apple, or balloon at all times. If nothing is holding you in position you’ll fall off screen low.
    • You do not need to collect every apple on every level. On some stages you can use them as fixed platforms which you stand on.
