  • Colby s Equation: We wanted to test whether mixing Diquat and Saflufencil would produce a greater effect than expected. To do this, we used Colby's equation. If the observed value of the mixture was greater than the expected value (i.e., E>E0), we could prove that the two chemicals had a synergistic effect when combined.
  • the parameter we measured was the percentage of dry field. After applying Diquat, the field was 24% dry compared to the control, while the crop was 40% dry after applying Saflufenacil. When we mixed Diquat and Saflufenacil in a tank, the entire crop in the field was 100% dry. Additionally, the expected efficacy (E) of the mix was calculated to be 54.5%.
  • Treatments were then applied the tank mix to the field containing peas and CHEAL (Chenopodium album) according to the directions on the label of Armory 240EC. Specifically, we sprayed 2.106 L/ha (1250 mL of treatment 1 + 856 mL of treatment 4) of the tank mix for treatment 5, 1250 mL/ha of treatment 1, and 856 mL/ha of treatment 2.

La présente divulgation concerne un mélange herbicide comprenant un premier herbicide choisi dans le groupe constitué par un inhibiteur de photosynthèse et un second herbicide choisi dans le groupe constitué par un inhibiteur de glutamine synthétase, un inhibiteur de PPO, un inhibiteur de photosystème II, un inhibiteur d'allongement de racine, une activité enzymatique d'inhibition d'herbicide bloquant la conversion d'acide 4-aminobenzoïque plus dérivés de 7,8-dihydroptéroate en 7,8-dihydroptéroate, un inhibiteur d'acétolactate synthase, un acide gras, un inhibiteur de VLCFA, un herbicide multi-site et un inhibiteur d'ACCase. La présente divulgation concerne également une composition herbicide comprenant le mélange herbicide de la présente divulgation et au moins un vecteur agricole.
