Abstract
本発明は、再生限界値の高いハニカムフィルタを提供することを目的とするものであり、多数のセルがセル壁を隔てて長手方向に並設され、上記セルのいずれか一方の端部が封止された柱状のハニカム焼成体からなり、一方の端面側から流入したガスが他方の端面側から流出するハニカムフィルタであって、上記セル壁の厚さは0.20~0.28mmであり、上記ハニカムフィルタには、そのガス流出側端面から上記ハニカムフィルタの全長の10%の領域には触媒担持層が形成されておらず、上記ハニカムフィルタのガスが流入側端面から上記ハニカムフィルタの全長の90%の領域のうち、上記ハニカムフィルタの全長の25%~90%の領域には触媒担持層が形成され、上記ハニカムフィルタの上記触媒担持層が形成されていない領域の熱伝導率は、上記ハニカムフィルタの上記触媒担持層が形成された領域の熱伝導率に比べて高いことを特徴とする。
