Description

SHELVING UPRIGHTS
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to shelving and particularly refers to a shelving upright having separate connections for shelf supporting bracket and for covering or partitioning panels.
BACKGROUND ART
The known shelving uprights have rectangular sections, with series of slots for hooking shelves, fittings and panels. In the same slot it can be inserted a shelf and the panel hook.
The main drawback of said known uprights consists in that the slots must have suitable widths and thus, for stiffening the structure, the uprights have excessive dimensions and weights and they are in great evidence.
A further drawback of the known uprights consists in that these latter are different for each different connection typologies. The uprights with centered reentering grooves have the same drawbacks as well.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
The main object of the present invention is to propose a light and strong upright allowing to carry out different kind of shelving and being less evident as possible.
A further object of the present invention is to propose an upright carried out with a combination of elements conforming the upright in order to cany out different kind of connections between shelves and, eventually, panels.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The characteristics of the invention are described in the following with particular reference with the attached drawings, in which: figure 1 shows an axonometric view of a shelving upright object of the present invention; - figure 2A shows an enlarged partial view of the figure 1; figure 2B shows a reduced axonometric view of a shelf fit to be fixed to the upright of figure
1; figure 3 shows a cross section of the upright of figure 1 with panels and shelves assembled thereto; - figure 4 shows an exploded view of the elements of figure 3; figure 5 shows a cross section of an upright variant with shelves assembled thereto; figure 6 shows an exploded view of the elements of figure 5; figure 7 shows a cross section view of a further upright variant with shelves assembled thereto; - figure 8 shows a cross section view of an upright made of elements of figures 5 and 7 with shelves fixed thereto.
BEST MODE OF CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
With reference to figures 1-4, numeral 100 indicates the shelving upright object of the present invention.
The upright 100 includes an extended section 1 having an approximate "omega" shape section and a first stiffening body 2. This latter substantially consists of a box-type section, whose side has a longitudinal opening 9 delimited by two longitudinal coplanar portions 10 having a plurality of rectangular holes 11.
The section 1 has the protruding central portion 3 provided with a plurality of couple of slots 4, and has side portions 6 in which are carried out hooks 7 protruding in the same direction of the central portion 3.
In an assembled condition M of the upright 100, the hooks and the protruding central portion 3 of the section 1 engage respectively the longitudinal opening 9 and the holes 11 of the first body 2.
The hooks are shaped in such a way to carried out a gap with the portions 10.
The operation provides that the upright 100 is vertically positioned with the hooks 7 protruding upwards and at least the slots 4 corresponding to the shelves, known and not shown, are engaged with known supporting brackets fit for supporting said shelves. The known closing or partitioning panels 8 are hooked to the upright 100 by means of hooks 7 filling, at least partially, the gap between these latter and the portions 10.
The variant of figures 5 and 6 provides that the upright includes two sections 1 and two second bodies 12 stiffening and connecting said sections 1. Each second body 12 consists substantially of an extended element having almost "C" shaped section and two longitudinal parallel and opposed faced portions 10.
In the assembled condition M of the upright 100, the hooks 7 of a portion 10 of each second body 12 are engaged into the holes 11 of a section 1, while the remaining hooks 7 of the second bodies 12 are engaged with the holes 11 of the other section.
The shelving operation according to said variant does not differ from this above described except that the brackets 5 and the panels 8 can be fixed to two sides of the upright 100.
The further variant of figure 7 provides that the upright 100 includes four sections 1 and four third bodies 13 stiffening and connecting the sections 1. Each third body 13 consists substantially of an extended element almost "L" shaped section made of two longitudinal orthogonal portions connected along a longitudinal edge.
In the assembled condition M of the upright 100, the hooks 7 of portions 10 of each third body 13 are engaged into holes 11 of an adjacent section 1.
The shelving operation according to said variant does not differ from the previously described except that the brackets 5 and the panels 8 can be fixed to the four sides of the upright 100.
The upright 100 of figure 8 includes three sections 1 interconnected by means of two third stiffening bodies 13 and a second body 12. In the assembled condition M this upright allows the fixing of the brackets 5 and the panels 8 on three sides.
It is provided that, for strengthening the upright 100, the sections 1 and the bodies, first 2 or second 12 and/or third 13, can be reciprocally welded and can have different thickness; in particular the sections 1 can have a thickness higher than the one of the bodies first 2, second 12 and/or third 13. Obviously the supporting brackets 5 can have a different shape so that, for instance, each bracket may engage different number of slots 4 or can be a display or a support for elements differing from shelves.
It is provided that the uprights 100 can have regular cross sections or be tapered at the top and the hooks 7 can be fixed, or replaced with other types of connections.
It is important to observe that in an assembled condition of the panels 8 to the upright 100, the visible parts of this latter consist of the single protruding central portion 3, having narrow width, with evident aesthetical advantages.
Furthermore, it is important to observe that the sections 1 in combination with the bodies first 2 or second 12 and/or third 13 allow to cany out uprights 100 having one, two, three and four fixing sides allowing an advantageous production simplification since the bodies, first 2 or second 12 and third 13, are simply and cheap to carry out.
The main advantage of the present invention is to provide a light and strong upright allowing to carry out different kind of shelving and being less visible as possible.
A further advantage is to provide an upright carried out with element whose combination allows conforming the upright in order to carry out different kind of connections between shelves and, eventually, panels.
