Abstract
A liquid level control device includes an upper connecting portion, a lower connecting portion, a rod member and a tube member. A hollow and a position-limiting article are provided in the upper connecting portion, a through hole is provided in the position-limiting article, a stopping wall is provided beneath the position-limiting article, and a conducting pipe and a screwing section are provided beneath the stopping wall. The lower connecting portion is provided with a screwing section at the top and a stopping block therein. A through hole is formed in the stopping block, and a screwing section is provided in the lower connecting portion. The rod member is provided with a screwing section for a piston ring and screwing articles. The tube member is provided with a screwing section at the top, elongated air-conducting holes in the side wall and a floating block therein.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a liquid level control device with innovatory features, and more particularly to a liquid level control device for a container which is easily operated to effectively control the liquid level in a container, so as to prevent liquid from overflowing outward the container while waste oil being retrieved.
- 2. Brief Description of the Prior Art
- The inventor of the present inventor has several years of experience for selling oil products, and it is troublesome and causes environmental problems to retrieve waste oil because the retrieved waste oil will easily overflow outward an oil container of 50 gallons.
- Therefore, an objective of the present invention is to provide a liquid level control device for a container that can improve the practical utility of a retrieved container.
- Another objective of the present invention is to provide a liquid level control device for a container that can be quickly assembled.
- Yet another objective of the present invention is to provide a liquid level control device for a container that can be easily operated to effectively control the liquid level in a container.
- Accordingly, a liquid level control device for a container in the present invention includes an upper connecting portion, a lower connecting portion, a rod member and a tube member. The upper connecting portion is provided with a hollow in the upper half section and a position-limiting article in the central interior, a through hole is provided in the position-limiting article, a stopping wall is provided beneath the position-limiting article, and a conducting pipe and a screwing section are provided beneath the stopping wall. The lower connecting portion is provided with a screwing section at the top, and a stopping block is provided therein. A through-hole is formed in the stopping block, and a screwing section is provided in the bottom of the lower connecting portion. The rod member is provided with a screwing section for a piston ring and screwing articles to be screwed to. The tube member is provided with a screwing section at the top, elongated air-conducting holes are provided in the side wall of the tube member, and a floating block is provided in the interior of the tube member.

FIG. 4 is a schematic view of the liquid level control device in accordance with the present invention being applied to a container placed on a cart with a starting machine; -
FIG. 5 is a schematic view showing the airflow direction in the liquid level control device in accordance with the present invention; -
FIG. 6 is a schematic view showing the floating block ascending to prop up the rod member of the liquid level control device in accordance with the present invention; -
FIG. 7 is a schematic view showing the piston ring of the rod member being forced to seal up the conducting pipe in the liquid level control device in accordance with the present invention; and,FIG. 8 is a schematic view showing the position of the piston ring of the rod member being adjusted lower or higher Alternatively. - Referring to
FIG. 1 , an embodiment of the liquid level control device for a container in the present invention includes an upper connectingportion 1, a lower connectingportion 2, arod member 3 and atube member 4. - The upper connecting
portion 1 is provided with a hollow 11 in the upper half section and a position-limitingarticle 12 in the central interior, athrough hole 121 is provided in the position-limitingarticle 12, astopping wall 13 is provided beneath the position-limitingarticle 12, and a conductingpipe 14 and ascrewing section 15 are provided beneath thestopping wall 13. - The lower connecting
portion 2 is provided with ascrewing section 21 at the top, and astopping block 22 is provided therein. A throughhole 221 is formed in thestopping block 22, and ascrewing section 23 is provided in the bottom of the lower connectingportion 2. - The
rod member 3 is provided with ascrewing section 31 for apiston ring 32 and screwingarticles 33 to be screwed to. - The
tube member 4 is provided with ascrewing section 41 at the top, elongated air-conductingholes 42 are provided in the side wall of thetube member 4, and a floatingblock 43 is provided in the interior of thetube member 4. - While being assembled, referring to
FIG. 2 , thepiston ring 32 and thescrewing articles 33 are penetrated by therod member 3 so as for thepiston ring 32 and thescrewing articles 33 to be screwed to thescrewing section 31 of therod member 3, both ends of therod member 3 are respectively penetrated through the throughhole 121 of the position-limitingarticle 12 and the throughhole 221 of thestopping block 22, thescrewing section 15 of the upper connectingportion 1 and thescrewing section 21 of the lower connectingportion 2 are screwed to each other for the upper connectingportion 1 to be assembled with the lower connectingportion 2, and the upper section of thescrewing section 41 of thetube member 4 is screwed to thescrewing section 23 of the lower connectingportion 2 for thetube member 4 to be assembled with the lower connectingportion 2 as well as the upper connectingportion 1. - While being applied, referring to
FIGS. 3 and 4 , the liquid level control device is secured to acontainer 7 by means of screwing the lower section of thescrewing section 41 of thetube member 4 to theexit 71 of thecontainer 7 or by means of other fixing articles, the bore of the sucking pipe of a vacuum cleaner A (used in a factory or a house) or a starting machine B securing to a cart for thecontainer 7 to be placed on is secured to the upper connectingportion 1, and the bore of a sucking pipe C is secured to theentrance 72 of thecontainer 7. - When the vacuum cleaner A or the starting machine B being started, liquid (such as waste oil or chemical solution) is sucked into the
container 7 by the sucking pipe C, if liquid in thecontainer 7 is a little, and air will enter the elongated air-conductingholes 42 along the space in the inner wall of the lower connectingportion 2 through the conductingpipe 14 and the hollow 11 of the upper connectingportion 1 into the sucking pipe of A or B, as shown inFIG. 5 . On the contrary, if the liquid level ascends to touch thefloating ball 43, thefloating ball 43 will be forced to ascend to a certain height to prop up therod member 3 to force thepiston ring 32 to fully seal up the conductingpipe 14 of the upper connectingportion 1 to prevent air from entering and to prevent the sucking pipe C from sucking liquid, as shown inFIGS. 6 and 7 , so as to control the liquid level in thecontainer 7 and to prevent liquid from overflowing. - Besides, the position of the
piston ring 32 may be adjusted by means of thescrewing articles 33, as shown inFIG. 8 , to adjust the liquid capacity in thecontainer 7. When thepiston ring 32 is adjusted to be higher, therod member 3 will descend lower accordingly so as to let thefloating ball 43 touch therod member 3 earlier, in order to control the liquid level at a lower position. On the contrary, when thepiston ring 32 is adjusted to be lower, therod member 3 will ascend higher accordingly so as to let thefloating ball 43 touch therod member 3 later, in order to control the liquid level at a higher position. - While the liquid level control device in the present invention is not applied, the bore of the sucking pipe of A or B is separated from the upper connecting
portion 1, and then the liquid level control device is removed from theexit 71 of thecontainer 7. - While the preferred embodiments of the invention have been described above, it will be recognized and understood that various modifications may be made therein, and the appended claims are intended to cover all such modifications which may fall within the spirit and scope of the invention.
Claims (6)
1. A liquid level control device being secured to the exit of a container.
2. A liquid level control device as recited in claim 1 , wherein said liquid level control device is secured to the exit of said container by screwing.
3. A liquid level control device as recited in claim 1 , wherein said liquid level control device is secured to by the bore of the sucking pipe of a vacuum cleaner, used in a factory or a house.
4. A liquid level control device as recited in claim 1 , wherein said container is placed on a cart with a starting machine.
5. A liquid level control device comprising:
an upper connecting portion being provided with a hollow in the upper half section, a position-limiting article being provided in the interior of said upper connecting portion, a through hole being provided in said position-limiting article, a stopping wall being provided beneath said position-limiting article, a conducting pipe and a screwing section being provided beneath said stopping wall;
a lower connecting portion being provided with a screwing section at the top, a stopping block being provided therein, a through hole being formed in said stopping block, a screwing section being provided in the bottom of said lower connecting portion;
a rod member being provided with a screwing section for a piston ring and screwing articles to be screwed to; and,
a tube member being provided with a screwing section at the top, elongated air-conducting holes being provided in the side wall of said tube member, a floating block being provided in the interior of said tube member.
6. A liquid level control device as recited in claim 5 , wherein the position of said piston ring on said rod member is adjusted by means of said screwing articles.
