제1도는 폴리메틸메타크릴레이트와 쉬이드/코어 배향된 폴리에스테르/폴리에테르 탄성섬유로 이루어진 복합물질에 대한 충격시험으로부터 측정한 파열에 필요한 에너지 및 최대힘, 및 폴리메틸 메타크릴레이트에 대한 충격시험으로부터 측정한 파열에 필요한 에너지 및 최대힘을 나타낸다.

Claims (8)

  1. 주로 중합체 또는 중합체 전구체 및 배양된 열가소성 탄성섬유[여기에서, 중합체 또는 중합체 전구체는 상기 열가소성 탄성섬유 부재하에 신도가 약 10% 미만인 순수중합체 매트릭스를 형성하고, 열가소성탄성섬유는 (a) 복합물질을 제조하는 동안 약 0 내지 이완을 방지할 정도의 장력하에서 상기 중합체 또는 중합체 전구체 중에 매립(embed)되며, (b) 수축이 가능하고, (c) 복합물질의 약 2 내지 약 95중량%의 양으로 복합물질 중에 존재한다]로 이루어지며, 순수 중합체 매트릭스의 신도보다 적어도 10% 이상의 신도를 갖는 내충격성 복합물질.
  2. 제1항에 있어서, 중합체가 폴리스티렌, 폴리메틸 메타크릴레이트, 가교-결합된 폴리메틸 메타크릴레이트, 폴리부틸 메타크릴레이트, 열가소성 및 열경화성폴리-에스테르, 메틸 메타크릴레이트 및 부틸메틸메타크릴-레이트의 공중합체, 스티렌과 메틸 메타크릴레이트와의 공중합체, 및 에폭시수지로 구성되는 그룹에서 선택된 복합물질.
  3. 제2항에 있어서, 중합체가 폴리스티렌, 폴리메틸 메타크릴레이트, 및 가교-결합된 폴리메틸 메타크릴레이트로 구성되는 그룹에서 선택된 복합물질.
  4. 제2항에 있어서, 열가소성 탄성섬유가 폴리-에스테르 탄성체, 폴리에스테르/폴리에테르 탄성체, 폴리-아마이드/폴리에스테르/폴리에테르 탄성체, 폴리에스테르/폴리우레탄 탄성체, 폴리 테트라메틸렌 테레프탈레이트, 및 폴리에스테르/폴리우레탄 탄성체로 구성된 그룹에서 선택된 복합물질.
  5. (a) 배향된 열가소성 탄성섬유를 약 0 내지 이완을 방지할 정도의 장력하에서 중합체 또는 중합체 전구체에 매립시키고,
    (b) 중합체 또는 중합체 전구체를 경화시켜 복합물질을 형성시키는 단계로 이루어지는 주로 중합체 또는 중합체전구체(이 중합체 또는 중합체 전구체는 열가소성 탄성섬유 부재하에 신도가 약 10%미만인 순수중합체 매트릭스를 형성한다) 및 배향된 열가소성 탄성섬유(이 열가소성 탄성섬유는 (a) 수축이 가능하며, (b) 복합물질의 약 2 내지 약 95중량%의 양으로 복합물질중에 존재한다]로 구성되는 내충격성 복합물질의 제조방법.
  6. 제5항에 있어서, 열가소성 탄성섬유를 폴리에스테르 탄성체, 폴리에스테르/폴리에테르 탄성체, 폴리-아마이드/폴리에스테르/폴리에테르 탄성체, 폴리에스테르/폴리우레탄 탄성체, 폴리테트라메틸렌 테레프탈레이트, 및 폴리에스테르/폴리우레탄 탄성체로 구성된 그룹에서 선택하는 방법.
  7. 제6항에 있어서, 중합체를 폴리스티렌, 폴리메틸 메타크릴레이트, 가교-결합된 폴리메틸 메타크릴레이트, 폴리부틸 메타크릴레이트, 열가소성 및 열경화성 폴리에스테르, 메틸 메타크릴레이트 및 부틸 메틸 메타크릴레이트의 공중합체, 스티렌과 메틸메타크릴레이트의 공중합체, 및 에폭시수지로 구성되는 그룹에서 선택하는 방법.
  8. 제7항에 있어서, 중합체를 폴리스티렌, 폴리메틸 메타크릴레이트 및 가교 결합된 폴리메틸 메타크릴레이트로 구성되는 그룹에서 선택하는 방법.
