Claims (42)
- 아염화티탄을 포함하는 전구체 물질과 알루미늄을 혼합하는 단계 및 이 혼합물을 가열하여 염화알루미늄 및 티탄 화합물을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는, 티탄 화합물의 제조 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서, 염화알루미늄 및 티탄 화합물을 형성하는 정반응을 촉진하기 위해 반응 조건을 조정하는 단계를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제2항에 있어서, 반응 조건을 조정하는 단계는 알루미늄과 전구체 물질이 반응하는 반응 구역으로부터 염화알루미늄을 배출시키는 것을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제3항에 있어서, 반응 조건을 조정하는 단계는 반응 구역으로부터 염화알루미늄을 연속 제거하는 것을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제4항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 염화티탄(TiCl4)으로부터 아염화티탄 전구체 물질을 제조하는 단계를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 알루미늄을 사용하여 TiCl4의 환원에 의해 아염화티탄을 제 조하는 단계를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제5항에 있어서, 아염화티탄의 제조 단계는 아르곤-수소 혼합물의 플라즈마 중에서 TiCl4를 가열하여 수행하는 것인 방법.
- 제6항 또는 제7항에 있어서, 형성된 염화알루미늄 중 적어도 일부를 재순환시키고 이 염화알루미늄을 이용하여 TiCl4를 생성하는 추가 단계를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제8항에 있어서, 염화알루미늄은 산화티탄을 환원시켜 TiCl4를 생성하는 데 사용하는 것인 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서, 산화알루미늄은 산화티탄의 환원에 의해 생성하며, 이 산화알루미늄은 전기분해하여 제1항 내지 제9항 중 어느 한 항의 방법에 사용하기 위한 알루미늄 원료를 생성하는 것인 방법.
- 제3항 내지 제10항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 염화알루미늄은 반응 구역의 온도보다 낮은 온도에서 반응 구역으로부터 응축시키는 것인 방법.
- 제3항 내지 제11항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 반응 구역으로부터 방출되는 아염화티탄은 반응 구역 내 온도와 다른 온도에서 응축시키는 것인 방법.
- 제12항에 있어서, 응축된 아염화티탄을 반응 구역으로 반송하는 추가 단계를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제13항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 전구체 물질은 아염화바나듐을 포함하고, 상기 방법의 생성물은 티탄, 알루미늄 및 바나듐을 포함하는 합금 또는 금속간 착물인 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서, 적절한 비율로 전구체 물질을 혼합하는 단계 및 이 방법을 수행하여 Ti-6Al-4V를 생성하는 단계를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제14항에 있어서, 전구체 물질은 아염화지르코늄을 포함하고, 이 방법의 생성물은 티탄, 알루미늄, 지르코늄 및 바나듐을 포함하는 합금 또는 금속간 착물인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제13항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 전구체 물질은 할로겐화니오븀 및 할로겐화크롬을 포함하고, 상기 방법의 생성물은 티탄, 알루미늄, 니오븀 및 크롬을 포함하는 합금 또는 금속간 착물인 방법.
- 제17항에 있어서, 적절한 비율로 전구체 물질을 혼합하는 단계 및 이 방법을 수행하여 Ti-48Al-2Nb-2Cr을 생성하는 단계를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제13항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 전구체 물질은 크롬, 니오븀, 바나듐, 지르코늄, 규소, 붕소, 몰리브덴, 탄탈 및 탄소를 포함하는 군에서 선택되는 하나 이상의 원소의 공급원을 포함하고, 상기 방법의 생성물은 상기 원소 중 하나 이상을 포함하는 탄탈-알루미늄을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제19항에 있어서, 원소(들)의 공급원은 이 원소를 포함하는 할로겐화금속, 아할로겐화물, 순수한 금속 또는 다른 화합물일 수 있는 것인 방법.
- 제19항 또는 제20항에 있어서, 생성물은 또한 금속간 화합물, 티탄-(특정 원소)-합금 및 금속간 화합물 중 하나 이상을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제21항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 알루미늄은 대략적인 상위 그레인 크기가 약 50 ㎛ 미만인 분말의 형태로 첨가하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제21항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 알루미늄은 대략적인 상위 그레인 크기가 약 50 ㎛보다 큰 분말의 형태이며, 이 방법은 알루미늄 분말 및 아염화 티탄을 분쇄하여 알루미늄 분말의 그레인 크기를 적어도 1 차원에서 감소시키는 단계를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제21항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 알루미늄은 1 차원 두께가 약 50 ㎛ 미만인 플레이크의 형태로 존재하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제24항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 이 방법의 생성물에 반응물을 첨가하여 추가 생성물을 생성하는 추가 단계를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제25항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 전구체 물질로서 아염화티탄을 형성하는 전처리 단계를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- - 아르곤-수소 혼합물의 플라즈마 중에서 TiCl4의 전구체 물질을 가열하여 TiCl3를 생성하는 단계;- 알루미늄을 상기 TiCl3와 혼합하는 단계; 및- 생성된 혼합물을 가열하여 티탄-알루미늄 화합물 및 AlCl3를 생성하는 단계를 포함하는, 티탄-알루미늄 화합물의 제조 방법.
- - TiCl4와 알루미늄의 혼합물을 가열하여 TiCl3 및 AlCl3를 형성하는 단계;- 이 혼합물을 가열하여 300℃보다 높은 반응 구역 온도로 가열하여 AlCl3를 반응 구역으로부터 증발시키는 단계;- 상기 혼합물에 추가의 알루미늄을 첨가하는 단계; 및- 이 혼합물을 300℃보다 높은 온도로 가열하여 AlCl3 및 티탄-알루미늄 화합물을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는, 티탄-알루미늄 화합물의 제조 방법.
- - 할로겐화금속의 전구체 물질과 알루미늄을 혼합하는 데 사용하기 위한 반응 용기;- 생성된 혼합물을, 전구체 물질이 알루미늄과 반응하여 할로겐화알루미늄 및 생성물을 형성하도록 하기에 충분한 온도로 가열하는 데 사용하기 위한 용기;- 할로겐화알루미늄이 제1 응축 구역에서 응축되도록 하는 온도에서 작동시키는 데 사용하기 위한 제1 응축 구역을 포함하는, 금속 화합물을 제조하기 위한 장치.
- 제29항에 있어서, 반응 혼합물로부터 방출되는 할로겐화금속을 응축시키기 위한 제2 응축 구역을 더 포함하는 것인 장치.
- 제30항에 있어서, 제2 응축 구역은 응축된 할로겐화금속을 반응 구역으로 반송하기 위한 것인 장치.
- - 할로겐화금속의 전구체 물질과 알루미늄을 혼합하는 단계;- 이 혼합물을, 전구체 물질이 알루미늄과 반응하기에 충분한 온도로 가열하여 할로겐화알루미늄이 형성되도록 하는 단계;- 할로겐화알루미늄을 형성하는 정반응은 촉진하고 알루미늄 및 전구체 물질을 형성하는 역반응은 감소되도록 조건을 조정하는 단계를 포함하는, 금속 화합물의 제조 방법.
- 제32항에 있어서, 반응 조건을 조정하는 단계는 알루미늄과 전구체 물질이 반응하는 반응 구역으로부터 할로겐화알루미늄을 배출시키는 단계를 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제32항 또는 제33항에 있어서, 할로겐화금속은 아염화티탄이고, 반응 생성물은 티탄 화합물을 포함하는 것인 방법.
- 제32항 내지 제34항 중 어느 한 항에 있어서, 전구체 물질은 크롬, 니오븀, 바나듐, 지르코늄, 규소, 붕소, 몰리브덴 및 탄소를 포함하는 군에서 선택되는 하나 이상의 원소의 공급원을 포함할 수 있는 것인 방법.
- 바나듐 및/또는 바나듐 화합물의 제조 방법으로서, 아할로겐화바나듐을 포함하는 전구체 물질과 알루미늄을 혼합하는 단계 및 이 혼합물을 가열하여 할로겐화알루미늄 및 바나듐 및/또는 바나듐 화합물을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제36항에 있어서, 바나듐 화합물은 바나듐-알루미늄 합금 및/또는 바나듐 알루미늄 금속간 착물을 포함할 수 있는 것인 방법.
- 지르코늄 및/또는 지르코늄 화합물의 제조 방법으로서, 아할로겐화지르코늄을 포함하는 전구체 물질과 알루미늄을 혼합하는 단계 및 이 혼합물을 가열하여 할로겐화알루미늄 및 지르코늄 및/또는 지르코늄 화합물을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제38항에 있어서, 지르코늄 화합물은 지르코늄-알루미늄 합금 및/또는 지르코늄-알루미늄 금속간 착물을 포함할 수 있는 것인 방법.
- 티탄 및/또는 티탄 화합물의 제조 방법으로서, 아염화티탄을 포함하는 전구체 물질과 환원제를 혼합하는 단계 및 이 혼합물을 가열하여 환원제의 할로겐화물 및 티탄 및/또는 티탄 화합물을 형성하는 단계를 포함하는 방법.
- 제40항에 있어서, 환원제는 아연, 마그네슘, 나트륨, 알루미늄 또는 기타 동종 금속을 포함하는 군에서 선택되는 것인 방법.
- 제1항 내지 제18항 중 어느 한 항에 따른 티탄-알루미늄 금속간 화합물에 기초한 합금, Ti3Al, TiAl 및 TiAl3 중 적어도 하나를 포함하는 티탄-알루미늄 금속간 화합물의 분말의 제조 방법으로서, 이 방법을 위한 출발 물질은 알루미늄 분말과 염화티탄 또는 아염화티탄 중 하나 이상을 포함하는 것인 방법.
