Abstract

PURPOSE: A system for the meter inspection using a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) is provided to automatically issue a bill by transmitting the data to a computer from the PDA embedding with a barcode and IC chip recognition device. CONSTITUTION: The PDA embedding with the barcode and IC chip recognition device reads a gauge installed to each house, receives a user ID number by a barcode attached to the gauge, and stores the use amount by reading the data stored in an IC chip. The stored data is transmitted to the computer through a communication port of the PDA. The intrinsic user number classifies the user by a database through the input of the barcode or the house number to the PDA. A meterman stores the use amount by connecting the gauge with the PDA and connects the PDA with the computer.
