Problems with inkjet recording devices that meet the requirements of high-speed printing, low noise, and the use of plain paper include the ease with which the print smudges and the difficulty in drying. As a means to solve this problem, a recording method has been devised in which solid ink is heated and molten to perform inkjet recording.
There is an inkjet recording method called a hot melt type, as disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 59-7052.

However, in the conventional hot melt type, the ejected non-recording ink cools and becomes solid, which accumulates inside the recording device and obstructs movable parts such as the carriage that carries the recording head etc. Another problem is that the solid ink that falls off scatters inside the recording device, staining the inside of the recording device.
