Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent elution of Ba in calcined powder in calcined powder and to enable production of fine powder having a uniform composition in grinding the calcined powder having the composition of MBa2CU3O7-X (M=Y or La) in a wet state, by using a nonaqueous organic solvent instead of water as a solvent. CONSTITUTION:Calcined powder having a composition of rhombic system such as composition MBa2Cu3O7-X is ground in a wet state by using a nonaqueous organic solvent such as acetone or ethanol by a grinder such as ball mill. By this method, the calcined powder can be ground without eluting Ba in the calcined powder. Consequently, fine powder with uniform composition is obtained and calcined powder provided a sintered material having stable and excellent superconducting characteristics can be produced.
