Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in the accuracy of A/D conversion by compensating a leak current of a switch used for electric discharge of an integration device at the D/A conversion in the A/D conversion mode. CONSTITUTION:A switch 7 used for discharging an electric charge in an integration capacitor 8 in the D/A conversion mode is turned off, in the A/D conversion mode. When a voltage corresponding to an analog signal inputted to a terminal 1 is held in the capacitor 8, a current is supplied from a constant power supply circuit 22 to the capacitor 8 and integration is started. Then the voltage of the capacitor 8 is compared with comparison voltages 45-47 at comparators 41-43 and a digital value is obtained by using counters 20, 35, 36 so as to count the period till the output of the comparator is inverted. In such a case, the leakage current of the switch 7 is detected by a leakage current detection circuit 101 and a current equal to the detected current but having an opposite direction is fed from the leak current compensation circuit 102 to the switch 7.
