Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect whether or not there is a fine magnetic field with high sensitivity by controlling the sensitivity to the magnetic field of an element and its magnetic field detection range according to the level of a current. CONSTITUTION:Superconductive ceramics 1 is provided with current electrode 2 and voltage electrodes 3 to detect whether or not there is a magnetic field and its intensity from the voltage between the electrodes 3 which is developed when a current is supplied to the electrodes 2 and a magnetic field is applied to the ceramics 1. Then the level of the current is controlled to control the sensitivity to the magnetic field and its magnetic field detection range. Further, when the ceramics 1 contains a normal conductive material, an insulator, or a material which becomes a normal conductive material with a magnetic field partially, a current flows on the surface of a superconductor in a magnetic field, coherent length is shortened, and tunnel effect is eliminated, so a state of zero resistance is not maintained and an increase in resistance is caused, so that the magnetic field is detected with high sensitivity.
