Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an oxide superconducting joint having excellent superconductive properties and mechanical strength and useful as various structural materials, etc., by bonding an oxide superconductor with a metallic member or a ceramic member using a specific soldering material. CONSTITUTION:An oxide superconductor (A) having an oxygen-deficient perovskite structure of formula (delta is oxygen deficiency and is <=1) is produced by mixing an Ln element (Ln is one or more elements selected from Y, La, Sc, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb and Lu), Ba and Cu at atomic ratios of 1:2:3. The objective oxide superconducting joint can be produced by bonding the component A to (B) a metallic part or ceramic part having a thermal expansion coefficient of 5X10<-6>/K-25X10<-6>/K (e.g. LiNbO3 or LiTaO3) using a soldering material containing one or more active metals selected from group III element and group IV element (e.g. Ti) under heating in vacuum or in an inert gas atmosphere.
