The elastic packings 5, 5a have the same shape, and include a substrate 8 fixed to the side end surfaces 4, 4a with an adhesive, a hollow seal portion 9 protruding from the intermediate portion of the substrate 8, and a A fin seal portion protruding from the indoor end and a seal bucker material receiving portion 10' protruding from the outdoor end of the substrate 8 are separated, and the seal bucker material 6 is connected to the seal bucker material receiving portion of the elastic packings 5, 5a. The hollow seal parts 9, 9 are pressed against each other, and the fin seal parts 10, 10 are overlapped in a press-contact state, thereby making the indoor side of the vertical joint 2 double. At the same time, the hollow seal portion 9 is closed within the vertical joint 2.

The horizontal joint 3 is formed between the upper and lower end surfaces 15, 15 3 of the panels 1, 1, which are vertically adjacent to each other, by bending their upper and lower ends toward the indoor side, as shown in the third figure. The upper end surface 15 of one panel extends inward to a position corresponding to the fin seal portion 10 of the elastic packing 5, and an upward rear wall 16 extends from the extended end.
In addition, caulking material 17 is filled on the indoor side of the horizontal joint 3, thereby forming a substantially channel-shaped horizontal flow passage 18 that communicates in the horizontal direction and is made up of the panel upper end surface 15, the rear wall 16, and the caulking material 17 within the horizontal joint 3. are doing.

According to the vertical and horizontal joint watertight structure of the curtain wall of this invention, even if the caulking material filled in the vertical joints peels off over time and allows rainwater to infiltrate into the vertical joints, there is a The elastic packing presses the hollow seal part and the fin seal part against each other to form a double seal part and form a plurality of vertical flow passages, so that all the rainwater is drained before it reaches the room and no more water is left. Furthermore, since the guide plates of the upper and lower packings are polymerized at the intersection of vertical and horizontal joints, even if the caulking material peels off, further infiltration of rainwater can be prevented. It has excellent watertight and airtight effects, and the elastic packing has the same and symmetrical shape, and the hollow seal part, fin seal part, and seal backer material receiving part are integrally formed, making it easy and inexpensive to manufacture. It is extremely effective in practical terms, as it can significantly reduce the number of construction steps on site.
