Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit weighing with a fine scale as well as enable weighing of relatively heavy articles, by automatically changing over two weighing means different in weighing capacity from each other according to the size of the weighed value. CONSTITUTION:The weighed value from a weight detecting unit 1 is converted into a pulse number in an A/D converter 4 and digitally displayed on a display device 12. Provided are a weighing means with a relatively small weighing capacity having one graduation set to be A count (A>=2) by the pulse number by means of a CPU 7 according to the program in an ROM 9 in order to calculate (a) weighed value by performing a weighing processing of the generated pulse number divided by A count X the weight value represented by one graduation in weighing and a weighing means of a relatively large weighing capacity with the maximum effective graduation number equivalent to the above-mentioned weighing means, having one graduation set to be B count (B>A) by the pulse number in order to calculate a weighed value by performing a weighing processing of the generated pulse number divided by B count X the weight value represented by one graduation in weighing. Both the weighing means are automatically changed over according to the size of the weighed value.
