Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the sensitivity and to reduce the power consumption, by providing a resistance and a Josephson junction to a bridge circuit containing two input terminals, an output terminal and an earth terminal. CONSTITUTION:The bias current Ig and control current Ic are supplied to the input terminals T1 and T2 respectively. If a Josephson junction J2 shifts to a voltage state, a part of the current Ic flows to an earth through the junction J3. Thus the current component flowing to the J3 by the current Ig increases. Then the J3 shifts to a voltage state to cause a voltage at an output terminal TO, and accordingly the current can be supplied to the load connected between the terminal TO and an earth. When the J3 is put under a voltage state, the component of the current Ig that flows to an earth via a resistance R2 through the junction J1 increases. And the greater part of the current Ic flows to the earth via the resistance R2. Then the J1 is put under a voltage state, and thus an output current obtained from the terminal TO is separated completely from the currents Ig and Ic respectively.
