Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit the wind receiving area to be controlled easily and certainly as necessary by providing variable positioning of blades in relation to the rotary shaft, in the wind mill equipped with a single blade or plural pieces of blades having a fixed wind receiving area.
CONSTITUTION: As for a gyromill type wind mill apparatus 1, blades 4a and 4b having a fixed wind receiving area are installed on the periphery of a vertical rotary shaft 2 through supporting arms 3a, 3b, and 3c having equal length. An annular member 7 is slidably fitted to the rotary shaft 2, and bosses 8 and 9 are formed. A screw shaft 21 is rotated by rotating a motor 19, and the nut 22 engaged in screwing process with the screw shaft 21 and the annular member 7 fixed to the nut 22 are pushed-up in the direction of arrow along the rotary shaft 2. Accordingly, the blades 4a and 4b are displaced in the direction of arrow (c), to approach the rotary shaft 2, and the radius vector of the wind mill is reduced. When the motor 19 is revolved in the reverse direction, the annular member 7 comes down in the direction (b), and the blades 4a and 4b displace in the direction (d), to increase the radius vector of the wind mill, and the wind receiving area is increased.
