Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve heat radiation characteristic of a heat accumulation material for a heater utilizing latent heat of solidification, by compounding sodium acetate trihydrate, magnesium acetate tetrahydrate, an inorganic material such as diatom earth and water in a given ratio. CONSTITUTION:A heat accumulation material is composed of 80.0-94.6wt% sodium acetate trihydrate, 0.2-5.0wt% magnesium acetate tetrahydrate, 0.2- 3.0wt% inorganic material comprising at least one member selected from among diatom earth, bentonite and kaolin, and 5.0-12.0wt% water. Freezing point of the heat accumulation material of this composition is 52.0-57.3 deg.C, supercooling can be set at about 2.5 deg.C by using each inorganic material alone and at about 2.2 deg.C or below when two or more inorganic materials are used jointly, and its latent heat of solidification is about 42-56cal/g. Thus the heat radiation characteristic can be improved as the heat accumulation material of a heater.
