Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the precision of chlorine injection by shortening the time lag of control by controlling the injection amount of chlorine so that the measured density of the remaining chlorine reaches a desired value after nearly eliminating unreactive materials by accelerating oxidation reaction by heating part of treating water having injected chlorine.
CONSTITUTION: Raw water from rivers is sent to a supply water well 3 via an intake reservoir and after chlorine is injected 16, pair of the treated water is branched from, for example, a rapid stirring receiver 4. This branched water is supplied into a chlorine oxidation accelerator 11 and then heated to complete the oxidation reaction of chlorine in 10W15min. The residual chlorine density of this treated water is measured by a residual-chlorine meter 12, whose output signal is inputted to an automatic regulator 13 which generates a set signal corresponding to the deviation of the output signal from a prescribed desired value of the residual chlorine. The flow rate of the raw water, on the other hand, is measured 14 and the residual-chlorine density is measured 17 at the outlet of a filtering receiver 7; and respective output signals are inputted to a ratio regulator 15 to calculate the ratio of chlorine injection, thereby outputting a regulation signal S5 for the injection amount of chlorine. On the basis of the signal S2, a chlorine injecting machine 16 is controlled to control the injection amount of chlorine to the well 3.
