Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve productivity of a heat exchanger and to lower the manufacturing costs, by fabricating pipe portions and fin portions projected outwards from the outer surface of said pipe portions in a unitary manner by use of a plastics material. CONSTITUTION:Numerals 15 in the drawing represent heat exchanging elements made of a plastics material in a unitary manner. They are constituted by forming many fin portions 18 on the outer surface of a plurality of pipe portions 17 having exhaust passages formed therein to extend in a direction perpendicular to the axes of the pipe portions 17. By thus forming fin portions on the outer surface of the pipe portions in a continuous and unitary manner, the heat exchanging efficiency is not lowered so much although the heat exchanging elements are made of a plastics material. Further, since the heat exchanging elements are formed in a unitary manner by the use of a plastics material, it is enabled to improve productivity of the heat exchanger.
