Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve branching characteristics by forming a filter to be provided in a branching waveguide, by using dielectrics divided by conductor plates. CONSTITUTION:A branching waveguide 2 is fitted to the tube wall of a main waveguide 1, and coupled through a coupling hole 4. A multilayered dielectric plate filter 5 is provided, closely to the coupling hole 4, in the waveguide 2. Conductor plates 7 are fixed to dielectric plates 6 in such a way that they divide the plates 6. The conductor plates 7 increase the cutoff frequency of higher mode, so the amount of leakage is reduced.
