Abstract

PURPOSE:To carry out grid bias control quickly at high speed by a method wherein the control output of X-ray tube voltage is transmitted by a tetrode signal optical transmission unit to the grid bias control circuit of the tetrode in the form of pulse light. CONSTITUTION:When ''READY'' is set by operating a panel 86, an electromagnetic switch 74 is closed and three-phase alternating current is supplied to a high-tension transformer 62 from a slide type auto-transformer 71, so that an X-ray tube is ready to radiate X-rays. Subsequently, when an instruction as to the radiation of X-rays is given by the operating panel 86, a signal for starting X-ray radiation is sent to a timer circuit 76, while a signal for setting a X-ray tube voltage level is given to X-ray tube voltage comparators 77, 78. The X-ray tube voltage comparators 77, 78 compare the signal for setting the X-ray tube voltage level with a signal from high-tension breeder resistors 66, 67. Based on the difference signal, a tetrode control unit 64 is controlled via circuits 79, 80 for generating a tetrode control signal, luminous elements 81, 82 and tetrode control signal optical transmission units 83, 84.
