Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the matching of turbosupercharging of an engine with its rotation, by providing a disc which follows the rotation of a turbine shaft and by engaging the disc with a flywheel through a clutch mechanism at perscribed time. CONSTITUTION:A flywheel 11 and an electromagnetic clutch mechanism 12 are provided in an intermediate section 3 around a turbine shaft 4 extending from a turbine 1. The disc 13 of the clutch mechanism 12 is fitted on the shaft 4. The disc 13 and the flywheel 11 can be engaged with and disegaged from each other. An engine rotation detector 16, a flywheel rotation detector 17, a supercharging pressure detector 18, a turbine rotation detector and the clutch mechanism 12 are connected to a controller 14. When the engine revolution speed is not lower than a set level and the supercharging pressure or the turbine revolution speed is not lower than a set level and when the engine revolution speed is lower than the set level and the flywheel revolution speed is higher than the turbine revolution speed, the disc 13 is engaged with the flywheel 11 by the clutch mechanism 12 to heighten the torque of the engine at its slow revolution.
